James Lashley Hi Rupert. I hate to tell you, but studying the Bible without the benefit of the Holy Spirit will do nothing in bringing you closer to faith. It takes a work of GOD, through the Holy Spirit, granting you repentance before an enlightenment will occur. Herein lies the key. Recognize that you, as has everyone, have sinned against a Holy God. Atheist 2 James, you seem to have the order mixed up. You aren't supposed to believe something until AFTER you're given proof. You don't try believing something in the hopes that proof will magically show up afterwards. Like 1 Sep 6 at 1:09am

Yeah, that one was lobbed right over the plate. However, I would call it an il-logical prejudice. Given he holds the (belief) that "...you aren't supposed to believe something until after you're given proof" what (proof) is there for this (belief). Simply holding him to his own standard...
