NURSING INTERVENTION Assess patients fever or pain: typeof pain, location, intensity, duration, temperature, and diaphoresis. Assess allergic reactions: rash, urticaria; if these occur, drug may have to be discontinued. Teach patient to recognize signs of chronic overdose: bleeding, bruising, malaise, fever, sore throat.
