25 kV High Speed Phase Break for speed up to 200 km / h with 2 x 2 Teflon coated glass fiber rods. Teflon reinforced with 25% glass fiber, revolvable in case of wear, runners / skids made of copper, arcing stainless steel with contact wire clamps for 193 sq. mm contact wire, with 8 turnbuckles for adjustment of height and 8 suspension cables of bronze 10 mm2, all parts are made of non corrosive material.

Technical Specifications Of Neutral Section Insulator

1. Range of working conditions

1.1 Scope of application The Neutral Section insulator shall be applicable as sectioning point for two different phases of electric over head contact system of multiple phases. 50 / 60 Hz, 25 kV AC electrified rail road. It has to accept voltages up to 29 kV phase to earth as well 1.2 Type of overhead contact system: Automatically tensioned or fixed simple or compound catenaries systems. 1.3 System height: 0.8 - 2.0 m 1.4 Specification and cross- section of the contact wire The neutral section insulator shall be used for 85 193 sq. mm copper or copperalloy contact wire. The over all dimensions and the alloy of contact wire shall be stated by the customer. 1.5 Tension range of contact wire: 8 - 22.5 kN: The range of contact wire tensile load shall be stated by the customer. 1.6 Specification and cross section of messenger wire: The S.I. shall fit to different kinds of messenger wire cables. The exact size shall be given by the customer. 1.7 Tension range of catenaries: 10 25 kN. The exact value shall be given by the customer. 1.8 Running speed: 0 200 km / h 1.9 Properties of pantograph It shall work with single arm pantograph with carbon strip used at normal operation. The static pressure of collector shall be 70 120 N. 1.10 Number of pantograph passages: 2 - 4 Million for total live time of the insulator rods.

1.11 Mixed Traffic The products shall be able to work under mixed tractions of electric and diesel locomotives running. In heavy polluted area of diesel locomotive traffic, the insulator rod shall be cleaned with the towel and cleaning solution every year. Specifications and requirements

The neutral section insulator shall consist of the insulator bodies to insert into the contact wire, including all metal parts, relevant connecting parts, hanger cables and the insulator with fittings for the messenger wire cable. By the neutral section shall be direct sliding contact between the insulating body of the section insulator and the pantograph. Usually, the pantograph passes onto the neutral section insulator without current consumption. If the pantograph passes with consuming current, the neutral section insulator has the specified arcextinguishing capacity so as to protect the insulating part of the neutral section insulator from arcing damage. The locomotive may pass the N.S.I. with current consumption up to 100 amps without creating a short circuit. The neutral section insulator is provided with an earthed middle section to avoid any phase to phase short circuit faults. The earth resistance is required to be less than 10 ohm. Material of neutral section insulator The neutral section insulator shall be made with glass fiber rod covered by virgin PTFE to guarantee excellent electrical and mechanical properties. The PTFE cover shall offer a self cleaning ability under rain water and low wear rate. The rods shall be revolvable 5 times in case of wear to guarantee a live time of 2-4 million passes of pantographs. The relevant metal fitting and all kind of accessories and fastening parts shall be made of anticorrosive materials, such as copper alloys (CuNiSi) of stainless steel.

Material of runners The runner shall be made of copper guarantee an optimal conductivity and arcing properties while passing pantographs. Material of arcing horns The arcing horn shall be made of stainless steel. They shall be specially designed to keep the arc away from insulating material and to guide the arc quickly upward for extinguishing without damage of material.

Service life:
It shall not be less than 20 years. The aging and wear resistance at direct sliding of the insulator shall be taken into account.

Tests
The typical type tests for P.T.F.E. glass fiber insulators shall be made according to the relevant test standards IEC 507:71-1; 71-2; 383; 1109 Sampling tests: Before each delivery, 1% of the units have to be checked by the quality control. The following has to be checked:

Measuring inspection against quality recommendations ISO 9000. Material control against DIN recommendations. Tensile load test up to 30 kN. After this inspection, the customer shall receive the test certificate and the units shall be properly packed ready for dispatch.

Technical Service and Training

The manufacturer shall offer the instruction manuals for assembly and drawings in the quotation. The manufacturer shall send on customer request an engineer to work on site for training of the customers staff on chargeable basis. The manufacturer shall state the name, specifications and quantity of the relevant spare parts, materials and special tools and instruments to be supplied with the section insulators during delivery.

Technical Documents

Drawings The manufacturer shall furnish the assembly drawings (including main dimensions and total weight) and drawings of all components and fastenings etc. of the section insulator and shall make a description of the name, quantity, size, material and unit weight of all components, and anti-corrosive measures of steel components.

Installation, maintenance and other technical documents Each box with 1 Neutral Section Insulator shall contain installation instruction as well as one assembly drawing. Mark and packing The marking and packing shall be against the customers instructions. Packing in proper seaworthy cardboard boxes. 1 neutral section insulator shall be packed in one box.

8.

Guarantee period
The guarantee period shall be given with the quotation.
