Statement of Objectives The group aim to developed Online Tourist Information system of Pangasinan.

It aimed to meet the following objectives.

1. Determine the functional requirements of the system, and ;

Apparently, the tourist guiders main role is to escort group or individuals visitors from abroad or from the guiders own country around monuments, sites and museums of a city or region intercepting in a clear and entertaining way to inform the visitors about the cultural and national heritage and environment. Furthermore, The tourist guide must be qualified in various ways: particularly in linguist competence and in terms of a wide general knowledge with specific reference to the history, geography, art, architecture, economics, politics, religion, and sociology, of the area of qualification (Shaime, 2010).

The Internet has especially influenced the tourism industry as according to statistics (Travel Industry Association of America 2004), 64 million individuals used the Internet for travel planning in 2003.

Philippines travel destinations guide gives an overview of popular tourist spots in the Philippines. On each of the featured tourist destination on this travel guide, you will find places of interest on each destination, things to do and how to get there. The researcher have include a page of travel tips, a list fascinating Philippine festivals that runs year round, a collection of underwater scuba diving pictures (Abad, 2006).

According to Crotts (2003) online interactive trip planning tool for the same destination Specifically, Travellers to Charleston compiled about the confusing traffic signs, complicated road network, and busy traffic conditions. Pre-trip planning can help

to build cognitive maps and reduce stress during the visiting period; these types of information can also be delivered to ma traveller in real-time through wireless and location-sensitive information access. The first tool will provide visitors with locationsensitive texts, images, audios, and video based on their actual physical locations; the second program will help the visitors plan their trips to Charleston using an interactive map prior to their departure to their hotel rooms. It was expected that these tools could increase the visitors satisfaction about the destination, promote more visitations to different attractions, increase sales on food, entertainment and attractions, and foster more loyalty visitors. Potentially the devices could become a new marketing channel and a new revenue source for the technology services (Smith, 2011). The analysis reveals that the adoption of DMSs may provide a wide range of advantages for destination management organizations (DMOs), the tourism industry, and potential visitors, namely, at the coordination, disintermediation, and promotion levels. The study also suggests that DMSs may bring several benefits to the Portuguese tourism system, such as the diversification of tourism destinations, products, origin markets, and distribution channels. Although some constraints seem to exist for creating DMSs in Portugal, the countrys current tourism policies, the recent restructuration of regional tourism boards, and some data concerning the e-Readiness of the Portuguese tourism industry seem to favour the creation of these systems (Teixeria, 2012). Choo (2002) views information use as a dynamic, interactive social process of inquiry that may result in the making of meaning or the making of decisions. The first

type of use is intrinsic to the user, involved with human understanding and integration with the users knowledge base. This is a process of interpretation that may evolve into a process of inquiry and debate that ultimately results in knowledge creation. This type of information use has no visible indicators except in the depth and breadth of ones personal knowledge base. The second form of information use concerns decision-making. While Choo discusses this form in the context of organizational decision-making, some aspects are equally applicable to individual decision making. Interestingly, his approach is also at a conceptual high-level matching of potential uses with stages of the decisionmaking process: identification, development, and selection.
McGuffie (2004) posit that tourism enterprises need to understand, incorporate and utilize IT strategically in order to serve their target markets, improve their efficiency, maximize profitability, enhance services and maintain long-term profit.

2. Describe the design of website.

In line with submissions by Connor (2009), information is the life blood of any

organization; it is needed in every facet of live especially in contemporarily time when internet has ensure that information is at the fingertips. Advancement In technology equally has its impact on diversification of information. Various literatures equally affirm the role of information as the tool for librating and unlocking the wealth of a nation. The influence of information and communication Technologies (ICTs) which is a product of marriage between information and technology has also touched the field of tourism. It is playing vital roles in the development of tourism.

Communications and getting around the country is easy as most Filipinos understand and speak English. Mobile phones are used throughout the archipelago. Foreigners can buy "pre-paid" SIM cards for their cell phones for temporary use in the country to avoid costly roaming charges. Also, foreign currency can easily be converted into Philippine Peso and all major credit cards are accepted at big department stores, restaurants, bars and major establishments (Sags, 2008).
The growing competition among tourism destinations, the diversity of tourism suppliers, and the sophistication of the tourism demand bring new challenges to destination competitiveness, making it a more dynamic and ongoing process. The emergence of the Internet as the main vehicle of promotion and distribution of tourism destinations' offerings has been presenting considerable advantages, but also challenges, to destination managers. Among the several Internet-based solutions aiming at enhancing destination competitiveness, destination management systems (DMSs) have emerged as a relevant tool to increase destination competitiveness. The present article extends previous research by providing a literature review on the advantages of DMSs and by presenting a diagnosis analysis of potential benefits of creation of DMSs in Portugal and of the current conditions to establish these systems in this country. The analysis reveals that the adoption of

DMSs may provide a wide range of advantages for destination management organizations (DMOs), the tourism industry, and potential visitors, namely, at the coordination, disintermediation, and promotion levels. The study also suggests that DMSs may bring several benefits to the Portuguese tourism system, such as the diversification of tourism destinations, products, origin markets, and distribution channels. Although some constraints seem to exist for creating DMSs in Portugal, the country's current tourism policies, the recent restructuration of regional tourism boards, and some data concerning the eReadiness of the Portuguese tourism industry seem to favor the creation of these systems(Teixeria, 2012)

Information Technology & Tourism is a exciting relationship. And the tourism industry poses several challenges to the IT field and its methodologies. Advances in the use and development of tools, technologies, and methodologies that have facilitated the efficient netting of information. Information Technology & Tourism aims to contribute to the process of theory building, and hence to the advancement of research and scholarship in this growing field. Information Technology & Tourism focuses on academia as well as industry. It will feature both empirical case studies and technicaltheoretical papers looking at tourism from an IT point of view and at IT from a tourism point of view, a treatment quite attractive for researchers in both fields.

Information Technology is distinct from Information System as the later is generally seen as a component of the former one, i.e. communication technology. Information System also helps to control and manage the activities and performance of a business process; hence they are not identical too. An Information System can be viewed as a work system where all activities are devoted to different types of digital processing.

The main components of a typical Information system are computers, stored facts, instructions and procedures. Those instructions and procedures are applied on those facts in store to create new information or manage the existing ones. That's the basic structure of an information system and its working principle. Some laymen find no difference between information systems and computer science. But in fact, information system is not computer science and vice-versa. The main object of an information system is to focus on exploring the platform or interface between business management and information science with the inseparable aid of computer science. Thus computer science is merely used as a tool to make it work. Computer science here acts as a bridge between pure information technology and human activity systems. So by the term Information System' we refer to the wider system consisted of raw data, people related to the organization and their activities, both manual and computer-based. Information systems are now leading to the largest economic growth all over the world as they are the center of knowledge-based organizations as well as pure technical industries.

It is essential, before mentioning the categories of tour guides to differentiate between some concepts, since the titles are different in term of definitions and roles but they are often wrongly used interchangeably. The European Committee for Standirazzation (ECN) defines Tour Manager as a person who manages an itinerary on behalf of the tour operator ensuring the program is carried out as described in the tour operators literature and sold to the traveller/consumer and who gives local practical information (CEN,2009).

Filipinos are a fun-loving and friendly people. Throughout the islands, there are festivals celebrated everyday and foreign gusets are always welcome in their homes. Every travel destination on this guide is worth a visit. They have featured the most frequently visited tourist spots in the Philippines; the capital city of Manila, Boracay Beach, Baguio the summer capital of the Philippines, Bohol Island, Corregidor Island, Cebu City, Davao City, the islands of Palawan, the Hundred Islands of Pangasinan, Puerto Galera Beach, the old Spanish colonial city and UNESCO World Heritage Site of Vigan in Ilocos Sur, and the breathtaking Banaue Rice Terraces(Dann, 2005).

3. Determine the functional requirements of the system

To make it more convenient and more quickly for tourists get the resources information of the scenic spots, this paper based on the Xinzheng tourism general situation researches the development process of tourism information system which is based on Windows Phone. This system can provide mobile positioning services, so that tourists can get the information about attractions, determine the location, the development of tourist routes in time when they are travelling. This system can not only promote scenic resources better, but also make tourists convenience and promote the local economic development at the same time. Throughout the world, information plays an important role in decision-making, as well as problem solving in business. Information systems are widely used for collection and dissemination of information. Due to the complex set of interrelationships between people, places and products that information involves, tourism is one of the areas in which technology-

based information systems are commonly used. Turkey has a great potential in tourism industry(Ozturan, 2006).

The internet is more and more emerging as a handy tool of traveling for the tourist industry. It presents a perfect platform that brings products and services to the customer. However, web based tourist information system provides not only on-line brochures, but provides both value and service. Information technology is having a big effect on all sectors of tourism. Tourists have problems to find what they are looking for, especially in reference to the geographic position of the object and its surroundings. In most cases, it is not satisfying to find a nice hotel without a reference to restaurants, sights or event locations located nearby. http://www.isprs.org/proceedings/XXXV/congress/yf/papers/938.pdf
