Defending the proposal

Prepare a 15 minutes PowerPoint presentation of your proposal to present during the defence Students will come in to defend their proposals. Feedback will be given indicating progression or amendment of proposal

14th June to 28th June 2013

Allocation of supervisors

Students will be informed after all tuition fees are paid. If there is outstanding fees know that you will not be allocated with a supervisor Dissertation Reports to be handed in to the HOD according to UNILUS requirements 3 copies (spiral bound) for Marking

28th June to 25th October 2013

Writing of dissertation Submission of dissertations on the 27th October

1st November to 27th December 2013 2rd to 24th January 2014

Viva Voce

Final defence of the dissertation report. 1. Pass 2. Pass with minor amendments 3. Pass with major amendments and come for another viva 4. Fail: choose another topic, another supervisor and another viva.

When the dissertation is ready and the HOD has given a go ahead, send soft copy to check that it meets the requirements of the university. It is then you duty to get three (3) bound (green colour). You will be informed of the company recommended by the University.

Note:
1. Please if there is no information from the university for a while, contact the university. You are still a student until you graduate. 2. If you change your contact details, inform the university right away. 3. Visit the University now and them just to check on any changes. 4. If your circumstances have changed, you decide to defer for some reasons, put it in writing. 5. The writing period is four (4) months and the masters course is for eighteen (18) months. You cannot be allowed to do masters for three (3) years. Your studies will be terminated and you stand to lose your money and time invested. 6. The submission date can only be extended once after which you should submit your work. If you fail please write the university and attach evidence justifying need for third extension.
