A swarm of villains is climbing out of the woodwork, and the ensuing havoc is giving Mystery, Inc. a bad name. The city that once sa ng their praises is now turning against them! Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed pu ts you in the unenviable shoes of the gang during their darkest hour. Someone is bringing Mystery, Inc. s past culprits back to life - and they are set on revenge. Help clear the gang s name once and for all, and put a stop to the evil Masked Figure s scheme. Control Scooby, Shaggy, and the rest of the gang in a hunt for clues, as you scour the halls of the Coolsville Criminology Museum, hunt monster s in spooky Wickles Manor, go undercover at the fashionable Faux Ghost, visit the past at the gang s high school clubhouse, and finally, uncover the villain s base of operations at the long-abandoned Old Tyme Mining Town. Each area has unique challenges ranging from action-oriented gameplay to puzzle solving. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS ******************************************************************************** ** Before installing Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed you should make sure that your PC meets the following hardware and software minimum requirements: Operating System: Win 98 / ME / 2000 / XP CPU Speed: 333MHz (400MHz or higher recommended) Memory: 128MB RAM (256MB or higher recommended) Video Card: 16MB RAM (32MB or higher recommended) CD-ROM: 8X Sound: 16-bit Sound Blaster Compatible HD Space: 600MB Mouse ******************************************************************************** ** 4. INSTALLING AND UNINSTALLING THE GAME ******************************************************************************** ** To install the game, please follow the following steps: 1. Insert the Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed disc into your CD-ROM drive. 2. If you have the Auto insert notification feature enabled for your CD-ROM, simply left click on Install Game and skip steps 3 & 4. 3. Left click on the Start Button on the Windows Task Bar then select Run from the Start Menu. 4. Type D:autorun (D refers to your CD-ROM drive. If your CD-ROM drive is not D, please type the appropriate drive letter). Now click on the install button. 5. After installation is complete, you will find an icon to run the game under the START Menu in the THQ / Warner Bros / Scooby-Doo / Monsters Unleashed folder. You may uninstall the game by using the Add/Remove Programs under the Control Panel or from the Start Menu within the game folder there will be icon to Uninst all the game. ******************************************************************************** * 5. TECHNICAL NOTES AND TROUBLESHOOTING ******************************************************************************** * To view the online manual you must have Adobe Acrobat(R) Reader. If you don't ha ve Adobe Acrobat(R) Reader you may go to www.adobe.com to download it for free. The

online manual is called manual.pdf and is available on the root of the cd-rom. Please make sure you have the latest drivers for your video/sound card. Check the card manufacturer's website for driver updates. ATI - http://www.ati.com/support/driver.html MATROX - http://www.matrox.com/mga/support/drivers/home.cfm NVIDIA - http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Known Issues (VIDEO) -------------------1. HP Pavilion 8495 OEM drivers running Windows 98 causes issues in the game. To correct this problem please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. 2. There are known performance, sound and graphic issues when using an nVidia nForce audio/video card. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. 3. Issues have been found with older NVIDIA drivers. If you have a video card with NVIDIA graphics chips, such as the Diamond Viper 770 or Asus AGP-V6800, updating to the most recent video drivers from the manufacturer or NVIDIA website, will solve most video problems related to this game. 4. There are known graphic corruption issues related to the following ATI and Matrox video cards: -ATI Rage128VR: ATI2DRAA.DRV 4.11.01.6076 -ATI Radeon: ATI2DRAG.DRV 4.13.01.9031 WHQL -Matrox Millennium G450, G400.DRV 4.12.01.2010 WHQL -Matrox G200,G200.DRV 4.12.01.2730 (WHQL), 4.12.01.3120 5. There are known graphics and performance issues when using DirectX 8.0 compatible drivers with the ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo 2X. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. 6. Launching the game with an ATI Rage IIC video card will cause the game to crash after the intro movie. 7. There are known graphic issues when using ATI built Radeon 7200, 7500, or 8500 video cards with the latest drivers. If graphic issues occur, press Alt+Tab to back out of the program and Alt+Tab again to resume your game. 8. If the game does not function after it is installed, check your video card installation in your system settings to make sure that a video driver is installed for your video card in your computer. 9. Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed requires you to at least have DirectX version 8.0 or higher. It is recommended that you restart your computer upon installing or upgrading to DirectX 9.0. Known Issues (AUDIO) -------------------10. Audio may not function properly on some sound cards, such as Analog Device s SoundMax, nVidia nForce NV-420D, and nVidia nForce audio cards. Updating

to the most recent audio drivers for your card or chipset will solve audio issues related to this game. 11. If the game does not work properly or ceases to function after pausing and resuming the game, turn your Audio performance to Basic by doing the following: From the desktop, open Control Panel> Multimedia> Audio> Advanced Properties> Performance and set the slider to Basic. Known Issues (OTHER) -------------------12. Windows states that disabling virtual memory is "not recommended" and "may adversely affect system performace". If you find that your computer is not loading the selected level, the game sound effects and music are distorted and/or the game is not functioning properly, please make sure th at virtual memory is enabled. 13. There are known issues when running this Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed with insufficient hard disk space. Please make sure that you have 500MB available on your hard disk before playing the game. Please refer to section 3 (System Requirements) for more information. 14. If the game does not work properly or ceases to function while multitaskin g between opening Quicktime Player at the same time as playing Scooby-Doo 2 - Monsters Unleashed, quit both Quicktime Player and the game, and then restart the game. 15. On some systems, performance is slower when Quictime is running or is in the System tray. Closing QuickTime 6 or the QuickTime tray manager (qttask.exe) will return the game to normal speed. 16. The game requires Virtual Memory to be turned on to function properly in Windows XP. 17. Uninstalling the game will remove all saved games except for Limited Acces s Users on Windows XP. 18. Net Messaging will interrupt gameplay. To disable net messaging, follow these directions. WARNING - Disabling Windows Messenger service will block any Administrator messages sent on a local server. To disable Windows messaging, you must be logged in to an Administrator account on Windows. To disable Windows messaging in Windows XP Home/Pro: 1. From the desktop, right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage . 2. In Computer Management, click on the '+' next to Services and Applications, then double-click on Services. 3. Scroll down the list that open in frame to the right, and highlight Messenger. 4. Click on the "Stop the service" link to turn messenger off. To disable Windows messaging in Windows 2000: 1. From the desktop, right click on the My Computer icon and select Manage . 2. In Computer Management, click on the '+' next to Services and Applications, then double-click on Services. 3. Scroll down the list that open in frame to the right, and highlight

Messenger. 4. Double-click on Messenger and select Disable from the "Startup Type" drop down menu 19. When using Microsoft Intellipoint mouse drivers, the mousewheel button ceases to function if any other setting except [AutoScroll] is assigned to the middle mouse button. Most Microsoft wheel mice default to [AutoScroll] for the middle mouse except the Microsoft Optical 1.1a which defaults to [Next Window]. In that case, the game minimizes when the button is pressed . LIMITED CD-ROM WARRANTY: Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contai ned herein, and solely with respect to Programs distributed on CD-ROM, Company warr ants to the original consumer purchaser of this Program on CD-ROM that the recording medium on which the Program is recorded will be free from defects in material a nd workmanship for 90 days from the date of purchase. If the recording medium is f ound defective within 90 days of original purchase, Company agrees to replace, free of charge, any product discovered to be defective within such period upon its rece ipt of the product, postage paid, with proof of the date of purchase, as long as th e Program is still being manufactured by Company. In the event that the Program i s no longer available, Company retains the right to substitute a similar program of equal or greater value. This warranty is limited to the recording medium containing t he Program as originally provided by Company and is not applicable to normal wear and tear. INDEMNITY. At Company's request, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold

harmless Company, its affiliates, contractors, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, licensees, distributors, content providers, and other users of the P rogram, from all damages, losses, liabilities, claims and expenses, including attorneys ' fees, arising directly or indirectly from your acts and omissions to act in using the Program pursuant to the terms of this License Agreement or any breach of this License A greement by you. Company reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you hereunder , and in such event, you shall have no further obligation to provide indemnification for such matter. 13. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS. The Program and documentation have be en developed entirely at private expense and are provided as "Commercial Computer Software" or "restricted computer software." Use, duplication or disclosure by the U.S. G overnment or a U.S. Government subcontractor is subject to the restrictions set forth in subparagraph (c)(1)(ii) of the Rights in Technical Data and Computer Software c lauses in DFARS 252.227-7013 or as set forth in subparagraph (c)(1) and (2) of the Commer cial Computer Software Restricted Rights clauses at FAR 52.227-19, as applicable. Without prejudice to any other rights of Company, this Lice nse Agreement and your right to use the Program may automatically terminate without notice from Company if you fail to comply with any provision of this Agreement or any terms and conditions associated with the Program. In such event, you must destroy all cop ies of this Program and all of its component parts. 15. GENERAL PROVISIONS. You may not use, copy, modify, sublicense, rent, sel l, assign or transfer the rights or obligations granted to you in this Agreement, except as expressly provided in this Agreement. Any assignment in violation of this Agreement is vo id, except that you may transfer your Program to another person provided that person accep ts the terms of this License Agreement. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be une nforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary t o make it enforceable, and such decision shall not affect the enforceability of: (i) such provision under other circumstances, or (ii) the remaining provisions hereof under all ci

rcumstances. Company's failure to enforce at any time any of the provisions of this Agreemen t shall in no way be construed to be a present or future waiver of such provisions, nor in any way affect the right of any party to enforce each and every such provision thereaft er. The express waiver by Company of any provision, condition or requirement of this Ag reement shall not constitute a waiver of any future obligation to comply with such prov ision, condition or requirement. Notwithstanding anything else in this Agreement, no d efault, delay or failure to perform on the part of Company shall be considered a breach of this Agreement if such default, delay or failure to perform is shown to be due to ca uses beyond the reasonable control of Company. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States without regard to its conflicts of la ws rules and you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in Lo s Angeles County, California. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the Internat ional Sale of Goods shall not apply to this Agreement.
