The FGDs will be conducted after the 2013 CEAP Convention in 25-27 September 2013. These will serve as the qualitative part of the survey and will be discussed on 09 September 2013. B. Sampling Method Purposive sampling will be used. National Secretariat for Youth Apostolate Ms. Maria Lea P. Dasigan NFCYS2013 Secretariat

Survey Teams, through the sample parishes, will gather respondents according the number size at an appointed date, time and venue. Assisted by the Survey Administrators, the respondents will answer the survey altogether. The ECY will inform the sample dioceses of this update, who should in turn relay the same information to the sample parishes. C. Survey Respondents Respondents should meet the following qualifications: + + + + single 13-39 years old male and female in-school and out-of-school

A concern was raised regarding the age-range of the respondents. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) sets the age-range of youth at 15-24 years old. The Pontifical Council for the Laity - Vatican sets the youth age-range and qualifier as 13-39 years old and single. The ECY used the PCL's age-range for the NFCYS2002. It was resolved that the study will follow the age-range set by the PCL. For the analysis of data, their ages will be categorized: + 13-16 years old + 17-20 years old + 21-39 years old D. Questionnaire DLSU will finalize the questionnaire and administration guideline. For the reproduction of the survey questionnaire, the number of pages and paper format will be finalized tomorrow, 06 June 2013. The research coordinators proposed to have someone from DLSU coordinate directly with whoever will print the instrument to simplify the process. Two thousand (2,000) sets of questionnaires will be printed. E. Other Issues The DLSU researchers request for funds for the National Analysis (if they will be doing it) as it is not part of the budget that is provided by the DLSU administration. A meeting is set on 01 July 2013 for Research Coordinators, CEAP and ECY to discuss budget, MOAs and other remaining matters. F.
