Nquthu Municipality invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following positions. 1. Position Salary Type of contract : : : Risk Management Officer R90 000 per annum Permanent

Minimum Requirements: Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Auditing, Risk Management or equivalent at NQF level 5. A valid Code B Drivers license. 2 years relevant experience. Excellent computer skills. Knowledge of relevant legislation applicable to risk management. Knowledge of risk management processes and techniques. Knowledge of Local Government Legislation. Effective Communication, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and conflict management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: Develop, coordinate, monitoring and implement Risk Management strategies and plans. Developing, maintain and execute a comprehensive process for identifying, assessing, mitigating, monitoring and reporting on risks that may impact on Organizational Performance. Conduct enterprise risk management education. Develop risk management related policies and procedures including fraud prevention. Facilitate resolution of audit queries. Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.

Intergovernmental Relations Officer R90 000 per annum Permanent

National Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Public Management/ Political Science/ Governance, Developmental studies. A valid Code B Drivers license. 2 years relevant experience. Excellent computer skills. Strong verbal and communication skills, including report writing and presentation skills will be an added advantage. Knowledge of Local Government Legislation. Effective Communication, interpersonal, negotiation, facilitation and conflict management skills.

Roles and Responsibilities: To facilitate the Intergovernmental relation in ensuring responsible production. Maintenance and implementation of the Intergovernmental Policy. Liaise with National and Provincial government, District council, SALGA and parastatals on behalf of the Municipality. Ensure a healthy relation between the municipality and other spheres of government and related parastatals.

Financial / Payroll Clerk Scale: R 90 000. 00 Per Annum Type of contract : Permanent Minimum Requirement: Valid Matric B. Degree in Accounting or B. Com Degree or National Diploma in Accounting/ Financial Management Good practical knowledge of MS Excel 2 3 creditors experience with knowledge of municipal accounting and payroll systems and good numerical skills Experience within Local Authority will be an added advantage Computerized financial management and banking will be an added advantage. Responsibilities: Responsible for all expenditure of the Municipality to ensure that all financial regulations are adhered to at all times. Administer and check data capture. To ensure that all filing of all financial expenditure records to ensure that they are available when needed. Responsible for submission of all returns of all returns that must be submitted to various departments. Candidate must have knowledge of Payroll, however candidate knowing VIP will have an added advantage.

Manager : IDP/ PMS Salary : Negotiable, PLUS benefits such as Medical aid, th Pension Fund and 13 Cheque. Type of Contract : Permanent

Minimum Requirements: Three-year National Diploma, Bachelors Degree in Development Studies, Town Planning and related fields. Sound knowledge of Local Government. 2 3 years work experience in Development Planning field. Ability to communicate across political spectrum and communities. Understanding of municipal budgeting process. Ability to present to municipal management and various stakeholders. Computer literacy. Code 08/ ED Drivers license. Duties/ key performance Areas: Manage the performance management system in the municipality and ensure compliance with legislation. Manage Integrated Development Plan of Nquthu Local Municipality and ensure its compliance with applicable legislation. Provide ongoing support to the municipality in development of IDP/ PMS. Ensure good governance and public participation in development and implementation of IDP and PMS. Promote alignment of IDP, PMS and Budget. Facilitate training and capacity building initiates for the municipality in the areas of IDP and PMS. Minimum Requirements: Grade 12, relevant qualifications in SCM related studies will be an added advantage. 2 years of relevant SCM work experience. Performing administrative activities associated with preparation of documents and correspondence circulation. Type of contract : Permanent Minimum requirements A grade 12 or equivalent is essential is essential an appropriate tertiary qualification in office administration or Customer would be an added advantage. Excellent communication, Customer care and interpersonal skills are essential. The successful applicant must be bilingual in English and isiZulu ( would be an added advantage) The applicant must be assertive, customer focused, confidence, presentable and professional. Experience on busy switchboard would be an added advantage. The successful applicant must be computer literate in MS Word.

Key Performance Areas Ensure that the switchboard are maintained in a professional manner.
