Learning Outcomes

Learners will increase their understanding of blog creation and music journalism. Learners will increase their understanding and appreciation for a variety of musical genres, as well as building working relationships with fellow students.

Assignment Blog Project You will be required to create 2 blog websites. The first blog will include information on one of the Level 3 Performance bands (who will be a rehearsing and performing a variety of cover songs during their induction assignment). The second blog will include information on one of the Level 3 Extended Performance bands (who during the induction assignment will be acting as a collaborative songwriting team).

You will need to shadow these groups during your time in college, attending rehearsals and performances, researching each member of the band(s) to gather information to populate your blogs.

You will also be required to create a press release for the groups you will be working with as well as reviews of band performances.

You will be required to create 2 blog websites. Pages and Posts with information 2. Photos (as .jpegs) 3. Embedded youtube-hosted video 4. Links to related websites (to open in a separate window)

Task 2: Create a press release for the groups you will be working with as well as reviews of band performances.
Demonstrate an ability to research and create a Professional standard press Release (as a PDF) for your Client bands. Demonstrate an ability to produce ready-forpublication reviews of your Client bands performances
