Thank you for joining us for all the wonderful May activities!

This month we focused on art, poetry, language as well as making international connections and opening doors to opportunities worldwide! We connected with organizations and people from many different countries and had some fun exploring international art and poetry. In this newsletter you will find more info about:

ENGLISH + SPANISH NEW FRIENDS, 9,000 OPPORTUNITIES COATHANGER, THE OFFICE AFTER HOURS PLEASANT POETRY EVENING

ENGLISH + SPANISH
We continued our conversational English and Spanish clubs taught by native speakers. We met at sunset in the picturesque and relaxing setting at Lake Valea Morilor. This created a casual and friendly atmosphere and allowed us to enjoy the outdoors! During the lessons we continued to expand our 21st century skills, as well as a sense of freedom and comfort in conversation. We invite everyone to join us for our next class!

NEW FRIENDS OPEN 9,000 OPPORTUNITIES

This month Ad Astra Group and Hey Success established a partnership to provide you with amazing opportunities worldwide! The Ad Astra team believes in lifelong learning and we want to provide you with these opportunities! We encourage our group members to become global leaders by making connections worldwide! With the help of Hey Success, our group members can now access over 9,000 opportunities and over 5,800 internships around the globe! Possibilities are endless!

COATHANGER, THE OFFICE AFTER HOURS

Ad Astra Group, in partnership with the European Voluntary Service has been organizing a Clown Workshop which started in January. Participants met once per week and were instructed by Spanish actress, Isabel Vargas. The workshop focused on overcoming stress anxiety and fear while expanding on the notions of classical theater. On May 17, the clown troupe performed a play titled Coathanger, the office after hours. The play was a commentary on power relations between men and women was performed at the Kompot Open Air Party organized by Spalatorie Theater.

PLEASANT POETRY
On May 25th Ad Astra Group, The Peace Corps, and American Councils organized an international poetry evening. We gathered with representatives from Moldova, Germany, Austria, US, Spain, UK, France and Haiti to read poetry in our native languages about love, life, and identify. We met new friends and made new connections! Check out the photos! The evening was a great success! We would like to invite you to the next event titled Veni, Vidi, Spune! June 8, 2013 at 17:00 at Biblioteca Naional pentru Copii Ion Creang, Filiala nr.2 (Langa "Licurici").
