Day 01 : Arrive Delhi


Arrive Delhi by international flight. Meeting and
assistance on arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Check-in time is 12.00 Noon.

Day 02 : Delhi
Full day sightseeing tour of Old Delhi. Sprawling on
the banks of the river Yamuna, Delhi, the capital of
India, typifies the soul of the country. The city
conceals within its bosom the remains of a
civilization that flourished over the last three
thousand years. Since those legendary days, many
dynasties and rulers have flourished on its regal soil.
The legacy of that past survives in the many monuments left behind by its rulers.

Old Delhi tour covers the Red Fort built by Emperor Shah Jahan in 1638 AD, Jama Masijd, the
largest mosque in India also built by Shah Jahan, Raj Ghat and Shanti Van-the cremation sites of
Mahatma Gandhi and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and drives past Chandni Chowk, the street of
silversmiths in Old Delhi.

New Delhi visit includes Qutab Minar, one of the earliest remains of Imperial Delhi (13th century
AD) Humayun's Tomb - the fine monument believed to be forerunner of the Taj Mahal, India Gate,
the 42 metre high arch was raised as a memorial to soldiers who died in war, drives past Parliament
House, President's House, Secretariat Building, Laxminarayan Temple and Connaught Place.

Day 03 - Dellhi/Neemrana, 122 km


Afternoon drive to Neemrana and on arrival; check-in at the hotel. Neemrana Fort, situated on a
majestic plateau in the Aravalli ranges. Constructed in 1446 AD. by Rao Rajdeo, it is perhaps the
oldest heritage resort in India. Restored to its former glory, the fort has some beautiful suites
furnished with traditional Indian and colonial furniture. The property covers 25 acres of land and the
palace spans five levels of construction.

Day 04 : Neemrana-Samode, 140 km


In the morning, drive to Samode Palace. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Samode Palace, Samode -
its history goes back more than four and half centuries. Prithviraj Singhji of Amber, the seventeenth
prince of the house of Kachhawaha Rajputs, had awarded Samode to one of his twelve sons-Gopal
Singhji along with the hereditary title of Rawal Saheb. Nestled picturesquely on rugged hills,
Samode Palace with its stately grandeur and frescoed walls is one of the most impressive small
places in the whole of Rajasthan. The palace is full of architectural delights - the paintings on the
walls of Sultan Mahal, the dinning room with its stained glass windows, the Durbar Hall with its
painted ceilings, intricately carved walls, Chandeliers give the palace its old world charm. Overnight
at the hotel.

Day 05 : Samode-Mandawa, 135 km(Shekhawati)


Drive to Mandawa and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Mandawa Castle, Mandawa - Towering high
above the town of Mandawa, this rugged handsome fort guides the tired and weary traveller to its
portals. Built in 1775 by Thakur Nawal Singh, descendant of Rao Shekhaji, who also founded the
city of Nawalgarh. The Castle, now a 51 rooms hotel has no two rooms alike. It also houses an
interesting collection of paintings, jade, costumes and antiques.

Day 06 - Mandawa-Khimsar, 275 km


Drive to Khimsar and on arrival, check-in at Khimsar Fort Khimsar -
perched on the edge of the Great Thar Desert in the heart of Rajasthan lies
a unique 16th century fort. Rao Jodha - the founding Maharaja of Jodhpur
successfully launched the royal dynasty at Khimsar. Currently, the 18th,
19th and 20th generations of the royal lineage still reside in this historic
fort. Originally, the fort walls were built in the 16th century. Subsequently,
by the mid-18th century, the royal family moved in and a new ladies
residence was erected with finely carved windows in stone. Thakur Onkar
Singh, the present Chief built himself a regal additional wing in the 1940's.
Today it is one of the finest heritage hotels with 25 rooms, all air-
conditioned with attached bath.

Day 07 - Khimsar-Jaisalmer, 325 km


Drive to Jaisalmer stopping en-route at Osian to visit temples. Arrive Jaisalmer and check-in at the
hotel.

Day 08 - Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer - much has been written about this city but nothing can prepare the visitor for the sheer
magic and brilliance of this Desert City. Rawal Jaisal laid the foundation of the city in 1156 AD. The
Jaisalmer Fort stands almost 100 metres over the city with its 99 bastions, several entrances, a
group of Jain Temples from 12th to 15th century. The other places of interest include Tazia Tower
with its five-tiered splendor, each storey graced by a delicately carved balcony for its intricately
latticed and conspicuous facades.
Late afternoon, visit Sam Dunes for sunset view and camel ride. Return to the hotel for overnight
stay.

Day 09 - Jaisalmer-Jodhpur-Luni, 335 km (5 hours to Jodhpur)


In the morning drive, to Jodhpur. Jodhpur - The former capital of Marwar state was founded in 1459
by Rao Jodha, Mehrangarh Fort spreading over 5 km on a perpendicular hill and looking down 125
m, the fort appears rugged and impenetrable from the outside but houses some of the most
intricately adorned palaces with exquisitely carved panels and latticed windows, Moti Mahal, Phool
Mahal, Sheesh Mahal are some of the important areas to visit. A collection of royal cenotaphs, built
in white marble, lies very close to the fort. Built in 1899, the cenotaphs also houses portraits of the
rulers of Jodhpur.
Afternoon drive to Luni, 35 km/1 hour

On arrival, check-in at Fort Chanwa Luni


Fort Chanwa - located 35 kms from Jodhpur belongs to Maharaja Dalip Singh, youngest son of
Maharaja Umaid Singh of Jodhpur. Over a hundred years old, this heritage hotel has ornately carved
latticework friezes and intricate jharokhas. The small village at Luni is home to many artisans who
work with metal, clay and wood.

Day 10 - Luni
Jeep Safari to Bishnoi Village
A Bishnoi village-steeped in history: this 450-year-old tribe has a distinctive way of life. They are
environmentalists in the fundamental sense, preserving the wilds in scientific and local routines
evolved over the centuries of living with nature by nature. In villages of other tribes, one can
witness the opium ceremony - a ritual by which guests are traditionally welcomed. Gaily attired men
and women carry on about their chores and one can catch a glimpse of their norms and customs. A
drive through the starkly beautiful landscape could encounter the agile black buck, wild camel and
flights of rare birds

Day 11 - Luni-Ranakpur-Udaipur, 255 km/5 hours


An early departure for Udaipur en-route visit Ranakpur.
Ranakpur - The Jain community, had always enjoyed the patronage of the ruling family of Mewar
and quite a few important positions were held by the Jains. In the 15th century, Rana Kumbha of
Mewar gave a large stretch of land in a quite and picturesque valley, deep in the Aravallis, to the
Jains. This area came to be known as Ranakpur, Located 96 km from Udaipur, this is one of the five
main holy places of the Jains. Although over 500 years old, these temples are well preserved almost
in perfect condition. The central temple is the Chaumukha temple, dedicated to Adinath, the first
Jain Tirthankar (saint). This temple is the most complex and extensive in design. It has 29 halls, 80
domes and 1444 pillars. What is interesting is that no two pillars are alike.
Travel to Udaipur. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day free to relax.

Day 12 - Udaipur
Morning sightseeing tour of Udaipur.
Udaipur- Sightseeing tour of Udaipur, one of the most beautiful cities in all of Rajasthan, better
known as cities of Lake, founded by Maharana Udaipur, the places of interest include the City Palace
which has several carved balconies, arches and decorated pillars, Zenana Mahal, Fateh Prakash,
Durbar Hall and Shambhu Niwas. Also visit Jagdish temple, Sahelion-ki-Bari (queen's resort for her
ladies).

Day 13 - Udaipur-Deogarh, 135 km


Morning drive to Deogarh.
Deogarh Mahal -Deogarh, located 135 km from Udaipur on Udaipur-Ajmer route, on a hillock and
encircled by the town was built in 1670 AD by Rawar Dwarkadasji of the Sisodia dynasty .
Constructed by the famed Sompura architects, well known for their talents, Deogarh is a testimony
to their skilled craftsmanship. There are five floors and over 200 rooms in this Castle, numerous
balconies, carved pillars and extensive use of marble has added to its attraction. Only 22 rooms
have been renovated maintaining the old décor.
Afternoon at leisure to explore Deogarh village and lake.

Day 14 - Deogarh - Pushkar, 155 km


Drive to Pushkar and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Pushkar, this sacred town lies 11 km north
east of Ajmer and 130 km from Jaipur. According to mythology, Pushkar Lake is supposed to have
appeared miraculously when a lotus flower fell from the hands of Lord Brahma and dropped into this
valley. On Kartik Poornima, thousands of pilgrims come to bathe in the holy waters of the Pushkar
Lake. The fair is overwhelming in its magnitude and its visual impact. Colorful bazaars are set up,
camels are paraded and also bought and sold. Besides colorful bazaars, shops selling sweets,
snacks, handicrafts and utensils, there are also sports for children, camel races and cultural
performances.

Day 15 - Pushkar-Jaipur, 130 km


Drive to Jaipur and on arrival, check-in at Samode Haveli. Samode Haveli, Jaipur was built by Rawal
Sheo Soinghji, a Prime Minister in the royal court of Jaipur. The Haveli is the result of around 200
years of construction in phases, by its occupants. The haveli with 18 rooms and 2 suites has some
beautiful frescoes, arched windows and intricate wall designs. It is located in the heart of the walled
city.

Jaipur, this city was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer 260 years ago. Visit the
Maharaja's City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family, the Observatory, Ram Niwas
Gardens, Hawa Mahal or the Palace of winds built in 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and drive
past old Jaipur city

Day 16 - Jaipur
Morning excursion to Amer Fort, set in a picturesque location. Amer is a fascinating blend of Hindu
and Muslim architecture. Built in the 16th century by Raja Mansingh in red sandstone and white
marble, the palace complex has some very interesting apartments. Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh
Niwas, Ganesh Pol and Temple of Kali are some of the prominent areas of interest. Elephants are
provided to ascend the fort to visit the complex.

Day 17 - Jaipur-Bharatpur, 185 km


Drive to Bharatpur and on arrival, check-in at the Laxmi Vilas Palace. Laxmi Vilas Palace, Bharatpur
was built in 1899 for the younger son of the then Maharaja of Bharatpur, Jaswant Singh. The palace
is an interesting combination of traditional Rajput and Mughal style of architecture. Its single
entrance, a massive and richly carved archway, sunny courtyards and enchanting cupolas, spacious
airy rooms are adorned with colorful frescoes, period furniture and several antiques and objects
d'art. The hotel is 30 km from the famous Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, 50 km from Agra.
Visit Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, famous for its rare species of Migratory Birds as far as from Siberia.

Day 18 - Bharatpur-Agra, 50 km
Drive to Agra visiting en-route Fatehpur Sikri Fatehpur Sikri, the birth story of this beautiful city is
interesting. There, in a grotto in Sikri, lived a Muslim Saint, Sheikh Salim Chishti by name. Akbar
hearing of his renown, asked for the blessings of a son, and when a son was born, not only was the
child named Salim, the site for a mighty and ambitious project - a city - was chosen near the
residence of the saint erected in 1569. The shortage of water lead to the desertion of this city. Visit
the mosque of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal and other palaces.

Day 19 - Agra-Delhi drive, 204 km/4 hours

Agra, the home of the immortal Taj Mahal, the inimitable poem in white marble is the first

was completed in 1653 AD. Agra Fort, the imposing structure on the banks of the river Yamuna is
replete with priceless examples of craftsmanship in the Mughal period, including the beautiful pearl
Mosque, it was designed and built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah
built between 1622 AD by Empress Nur Jehan, in memory of her father, Ghias-id-Din Beg., is
considered a precursor of the Taj Mahal.

Day 04 - Mandawa-Bikaner drive, 200 km/4 hours

Bikaner - stands on the northern tip of the desert triangle. Junagadh Fort built around 1587 to
protect 37 palaces, temples and pavilions within the fort, is one of its kind. Today Junagadh houses
a museum of valuable miniature paintings and other rare items that are several centuries old.
Lalgarh Palace - the imposing red sandstone monument was designed by Sir Swinton Jacob for
Maharaja Ganga Singh. The 14th century Jain temples of Bhandeshwar and Sandeshwar and their
gold leaf paintings are noteworthy.

Day 05 - Bikaner-Jaisalmer drive, 333 km/6 hours

a natural spring that flows through a sculpted cow's head, Nakki Lake and Sunset point are the

Dargah Sharif, the shrine of the Sufi mystic Khwaja
Moinuddin Chishti (1142-1236AD)

Agra's main claim to fame is the ethereal Taj Mahal that was built by Mughal Emperor

Yamuna and is a classic example of Mughal architecture. The fort also houses the Pearl
mosque that was designed and built in 1565 AD by Emperor Akbar. Visit the tomb of
Itimad-ud-Daulah built in 1622 AD by Empress Nur Jehan in memory of her father,

Day 04: Agra / Jaipur, 235 km/ 6 hours

The deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri has an interesting story behind its foundation. It
happened so that a renowned Muslim saint named Sheikh Salim Chisti used to reside in a
grotto in Sikri. On hearing about his spiritual powers, Mughal Emperor Akbar visited him
and asked for his blessings in form of a son. When the child was born, Akbar named him
after the saint and decided to construct a grand city near the saint's residence as a tribute.
This ambitious project was completed in 1569 AD but had to be deserted because of an
acute shortage of water. Some of the famous sites to visit within the city include the
mosque of Salim Chisti and the Panch Mahal among others.

Day 05: Jaipur


Enjoy a full day tour to visit Amer Fort and Jaipur city.
Morning excursion to Amer Fort, set in a picturesque location. Amer is a fascinating
blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. Built in the 16th century by Raja Mansingh in
red sandstone and white marble, the palace complex has some very interesting
apartments. Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Ganesh Pol and Temple of Kali are
some of the prominent areas of interest. Elephants are provided to ascend the fort to visit
the complex.
Jaipur - this city was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer 260 years ago.
Visit the Maharaja's City Palace, the home of the erstwhile royal family, the Observatory,
Ram Niwas Gardens, Hawa Mahal or the Palace of winds built in 1799 by Maharaja
Sawai Pratap Singh and drive past the old part of Jaipur city.
Return to Hotel for Overnight.

Day 06 : Jaipur/New Delhi:


After breakfast leave by surface for Delhi doing shopping en route in Jaipur. Arrive in

Day 03: Madras - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram, 140 km


Morning drive to Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram, 70 kms west of Mahabalipuram, is a city of a
thousand temples. One of the seven sacred cities of the Hindus, it was the capital of the early
Cholas as far back as the 2nd century BC. Kanchi was a major seat of Tamil learning as well as
an important place of pilgrimage for Buddhists, Jains and Hindus. Apart from temples, the city is
also famous for its silk weavers, settled here some 400 years ago who have given it an enviable
reputation. Later proceed to Mahablipuram. Driving south of Madras on the coast lies
Mamallapuram (Mahabalipuram), the ancient port of the Pallavas. The Pallavas have created
many marvelous monuments with sculptural panels, caves, Monolithic Rathas and Temples.
Krishna Mandapam, has a big bas relief, notable for its realistic representation. The world's
largest bas relief measuring 27m x 9m, whale-back shaped rock contains figures of gods, demi-
gods, men, beasts, birds and representation of the entire creation. Shore Temple, one of the
oldest in south India dating back to the 8th century AD is a good example of the first phase of
structural temples constructed in Dravidian style. The Five Rathas, a group of five monolithic
temples, each created in different style are another attraction. Overnight at the hotel in Covelong.

Day 04: Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry, 135 km


Departure for Pondicherry. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Pondicherry. Although the French
influence is gradually fading, Pondicherry retains a few Gallic accents. Pondicherry's main sights
are the Rai Nivas, the Sacred Heart Church and the Sri Aurobindo Ashram. The ashram retreat
was founded in 1926 by Sri Aurobindo after whose death the spiritual authority passed to one of
his disciples, a French woman known as the Mother. The Mother was also instrumental in
founding the city of Dawn Auroville, 10 km from Pondicherry. Its original charter aimed at creating
a city of the future where people from India and abroad could live and work together in a spiritual
environment.

Day 05: Pondicherry - Tanjore, 175 km


Morning drive to Tanjore visiting enroute temple of Lord Natraja at Chidambaram. On arrival,
check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Tanjore. The home of Carnatic music, musical
instruments, dance and traditional handicrafts, Tanjore (Thanjavur) is famous for the
Brahadeeswarar Temple. The temple constructed more than a thousand years ago by the Chola
King Raja Rajan is an architect's marvel. The Art Gallery and the Saraswathi Mahal Library are
also well known places of interest.

Day 06: Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai, 201 km


Drive to Trichy and on arrival, visit Srirangam. Located on an island 5 kms from Trichy, is
Srirangam. Surrounded by the Kaveri river is a 600 acre island town enclosed within the seven
walls of the gigantic Sri Ranganathaswami temple. There are no less than 22 gopurams, one of
which is the tallest in India. The 72 m high 13-tiered gopuram dominates the landscape for miles
around. The Rock Fort situated on the banks of the Kaveri River, Trichy's most famed landmark is
an 84 m high rock, one of the oldest in the world aprox. 3,800 million years old. The attraction is
not for the fort itself but the temple at the summit. 344 steps hewn out of rock lead to the top
where are the inscriptions dating back to the 3rd century B.C. Later drive to Madurai and on
arrival, check-in at the hotel where you stay overnight.

Day 07: Madurai


Morning sightseeing tour of Madurai. Known as Athens of the East, Madurai is the second largest
city on the banks of the River Vaigai. The city is believed to be more than 2500 years old. The city
got its name from the drops of nectar (Mathuram) that fell from Shiva's locks when he came to
bless its people for constructing a temple for him. Madurai where the people wake up to the chant
of hymns is proud of the magnificent Meenakshi-Sundareswara Temple. Of its 12 gopurams, four
of the tallest stand at the outer walls of the temple. The 48.8 m high southern gopuram is the
most spectacular and has over 1500 sculptures. In the Ashta Shakti Mandapam inside the
Meenakshi temple, the sculpted pillars tell the story of the beautiful princess of Madurai and her
marriage to Lord Shiva. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 08: Madurai - Periyar, 160 km


Morning drive to Periyar and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Periyar sanctuary spread over an
area of 777 sq km, has about 35 tigers and leopards. However, sighting a tiger in Periyar is a rare
occurrence. The park encompasses a 26 sq km artificial lake and is the home of sambars, wild
boars, elephants and antelopes, which can be seen on the banks of the river during a boat cruise.
Periyar, otherwise, blessed by Nature has enormous
tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations and has
lush green hills. Afternoon boat-cruise on Lake Periyar

Day 09: Periyar-Kumarakom, 136 km (via Kottayam)


Drive to Kumarakom via Kottayam. Kottayam, 64 kms
from Cochin, it is another commercial centre of Kerala.
Dotted with churches and covered with rubber
plantations, Kottayam is just 16 km away from
Kumarakom and Vembanad Lake. To the city's west are
delightful backwaters and to its east is the most fertile
and scenic part of the Western Ghats having rubber,
tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations. On
arrival, check-in at the backwater resort. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater village on the
shores of the enchanting Vembanad Lake. Coconut Lagoon is set on an abandoned coconut

Day 10: Kumarakom - Alleppey - Cochin


Morning backwater cruise for 2-1/2 hours to Alleppey famous for snake boat races, and an
intricate network of canals. This district is famous for coir mats and rugs and comes alive during
snake boat races organized in January, August and September. Traveling by boat on the
backwaters in Kerala is one of the most unique experiences. The boats cross shallow, palm-
fringed lakes and travel along narrow shady canals providing glimpses of small settlements on
the narrow land, shops, schools and trading on boat, lush green rice fields. These canals are well
connected between Kottayam-Alleppey-Changancherry-Quilon and Kumarakom. On arrival,

Morning sightseeing tour of Cochin. Cochin, Kerala's commercial center, has a fine natural

Sightseeing tour of Ooty and Conoor. Ooty, is an integral part of the great plateau occupying the
junction of the Eastern and Western Ghats. Located at 2240m above sea level, Ooty is the
headquarters of the Nilgris district. Apart from coffee and tea plantations, trees like conifers,
eucalyptus, pine and wattle dot the hillsides of Ooty and its environs. The places of interest in
Ooty include Botanical Gardens where "the summer Festival" is held each year during the month
of May. The artificial lake and Dodabetta Peak, which is the highest point in the district at a height
of 2623 m are popular attractions.

17 km from Ooty is the first of these hills stations. Coonoor is a small town with an equable
climate that has made it popular as hill resort. Tea and Tourism Festival is held here during Dec-
Jan. The main attraction is the Sim's Park, a small well maintained botanical garden that has
several varieties of plants not to be found in other hill stations.

Day 14: Ooty - Mysore drive, 155 km


On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of Mysore. Mysore, 770 m above sea
level, this imperial city was the erstwhile capital of the Wodeyars. The city takes its name from a
famous demon called Mahishasur, a great warrior who ruled as a tyrant until he was killed by the
goddess Chamundeshwari. Mysore as we see today is most famous for the imposing Royal
Palace with a magnificent Durbar Hall, particularly splendid during the Dussehra Festival when
zthe Maharaja's jewellery, studded gold throne
(weighing 200 kgs) is on display. Chamundeshwari
temple perched on a hilltop is 2000 years old, Nandi
Bull half way to the hill is a 4.8 metre monolith. 19 km
north-west of Mysore is the KRS Dam and the
ornamental Brindavan Gardens. The musical
fountains and colorful lights transform this place into a
fairyland in the evenings.

Day 15: Myore


Morning visit Somnathpur temple. 45 km from
Mysore, the temple, built in 1268 AD is known for its
Hoysala architecture. The temple is seated on a star
shaped base, set on a chiseled plinth and guarded at
intervals by miniature elephants. The temple wall depicts scenes from the Ramayana,
Mahabharata and Bhagvata Gita. Afternoon at leisure

Day 16: Mysore-Hassan, 150 km


On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Afternoon visit Belur and Halebid. Belur temple took over 103
years to build and is a classic example of the Hoysala style of architecture. It rises like a wedding
cake in stone, from a star shaped plinth, one of the hallmarks of Hoysala building design. From
the base upwards, there is an extraordinary wealth of decorative detail; every available inch is
crammed with intricate carvings. In one frieze, 650 elephants jostle one another in a continuous
line. Many of the figures of full bosomed women depicted at Belur are believed to be portraits of
King Vishnuvardhana's queen.

Halebid - 16 km east of Belur and 27 km from Hassan, the Hoysaleswara Temple dating back to
12th century, is astounding for its wealth of sculptural detail. The walls of the temple are covered
with an endless variety of gods and goddesses, animals, birds and dancing girls. Yet no two
facets of the temple are the same. The magnificent temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, guarded by
a Nandi Bull was never completed despite 86 years of labor. In the inner sanctum, the black
lingam, the symbol of Shiva, is still worshipped. The carving at the door is ornate with small
details.

Day 17: Hassan-Bangalore-Bombay-Dep.


Drive to Bangalore visiting enroute Sravanbelgola. Said to be the world's tallest monolithic statue
the sculpture of Bahubali (Gomateshvara) rises 17 metre high. The statue was built in 981 AD by
the sculptor Aristanemi and is most sacred to the Jain Community. On arrival, transfer to the
airport for flight to Bombay and your onward connection.

Day 05 Jaipur
Visit the Amber fort in the morning; included is an elephant ride at the Amber fort. See the
marvelous Shish mahal built in the 17th century in a fusion style of Hindu and Islamic art. Also see
the hall of public audiences and Maharaja Man Singh's Palace who had twelve queens. After lunch
set off to see the Pink city visiting the observatory Jantar Mantar built in 1727 by Sawai Maharaja
Jai Singh II who was a mathematician, an astronomer an astrologer and a great musician of his era.
Then visit the City Palace of the Maharaja of Jaipur with a fabulous collection of robes and saris in
cotton and silk with gold latticed work. The city palace houses a collection of paintings also in the
painting gallery and of course a collection of arms and ammunitions in the ammunition gallery.

Day 06 Jaipur - Agra


Leave in the morning for Jaipur and enroute visit the phantom city of Fatehpur Sikri: the erstwhile
capital of the Mughal emperor Akbar the Great. Visit the Diwan-i-am the hall of public audiences
where the emperor used to give justice to his oppressed subject. See Jodhabai's palace (Akbar's
Hindu wife) that is even bigger than his own private palace. Later visit Salim chisti's tomb at the
nearby mosque. Salim chisti was a Sufi saint who blessed Akbar and his Hindu wife with a long
awaited son. Akbar was so overwhelmed that he built a mosque in his remembrance to thank the
Sufi saint.

Day 07 Agra
After breakfast in your hotel proceed to see the Agra Fort built by Akbar in 1567 where Shahjahan
was imprisoned by his own son Aurangzeb. Don't forget Taj
Mahal is awaiting your arrival today. A must see with the rising
sun as the Taj Mahal is bathed in the golden rays of the
morning sun. Little needs to be said about this architectural
wonder which is always the sole raison d'être for every
tourist's visit to Agra. Built by Shah Jahan, the Taj is a white
marble memorial that houses the tomb of his beautiful wife
Mumtaz Mahal. This monument took 22 years to be completed
and was designed, and planned by Persian architect Ustad Isa.
Apart from its stunning design balance and perfect symmetry,
the Taj is also noted particularly for its elegant domes,
intricately carved screens and some of the best inlay work
ever seen anywhere in the world Later visit the tomb of Itmad
ud Daulah the finance minister of the Mughals and the father
of Noor Jehan: Jehangir's wife. It is the first mughal building
built out completely of marble. In many contexts it is referred to being the predecessor of the Taj
Mahal. Then visit Sikandara the tomb of the great emperor Akbar.

Day 08 Agra - Orcha


Today we go to Orchha the erstwhile stronghold of the Bundela clan of rajput rulers of central India.
Orchcha is a medieval village where time has stopped. You feel the timelessness of this spot.
Orchha is a medieval city founded by Bundela rulers with palaces and temples of the 16th and 17th
century - which have remarkably withstood the onslaught of time. The river Betwa picturesquely
flanks the city. Reach Orchha and see the beautiful Palace Complex - Jahangiri Mahal and the Raja
Mahal. Closely study the intricacies of the mural paintings in the Raja Mahal and visit the
Laxminarayana Temple.

Day 09 Orcha - Khajuraho


In the morning continue towards Khajuraho about 182 km
away by road. Upon arrival check into your hotel and later
visit the quaint little village of old Khajuraho.

Day 10 Khajuraho - Varanasi (by flight)


Morning sight seeing shows us the temples built during the
9th to the 11th centuries by the powerful dynasty of
Chandela rajputs. The temples with their erotic sculptures
are a feast to the eyes. Visit the eastern and western group of temples The Chandelas built 85
temples in all but today only 20 temples stand intact. Even ten centuries after they were
constructed, the temples of Khajuraho reflect an eternal philosophy relevant to all mankind. The
temples of Khajuraho are a world heritage site and belong not just to India but to the world.

Transfer in time to airport for flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival at Varanasi, you will be met and
transferred to hotel. In the afternoon visit the temple of Bharat mata and then witness the evening
prayers at the banks of the river Ganges.

Day 11 Varanasi - Delhi (by flight)


Early in the morning (0500hrs) we take you to banks of the river Ganges where we board a boat to
see the morning ablutions of the Hindus from the security of our boat. The boat ride starts from
Dasashwamedh Ghat and ends at Manikarnika Ghat along the sacred Ganges. Varanasi is the
world's most ancient city and the home of Hinduism. The sunrise on the riverfront is spiritually
uplifting as seen from the boat, crowded eith temples and people and its labyrinth` of streets. It
was earlier called Kashi. The present name is derived from the fact that it is at the confluence of the
two rivers Varuna and Asi that flows across the city See the Kashi Vishwanath temple and the
Gyanvyapi kund and the mosque attached to it. Also visit the Benares Hindu University the largest
residential university in India with more than 3000 residential students Return to your hotel for
breakfast. Visit Sarnath the sacred city for the Buddhist all over the world. It was here that Lord
Buddha preached his first sermon to his first five disciples. Also worth visiting is the museum with
artifacts dating back to 3rd century BC. Visit the nearby ruins of the ancient seat of learning in
Sarnath. In time transfer to the airport for your flight back to New Delhi. Upon arrival in Delhi a

Have breakfast and proceed to Golf Club. Starting a Golf Course in Chandigarh was conceived in the
50s, it took almost 10 years for it to take shape. In 1960 a piece of land was allotted and the club
was established with an initial membership of just 10 Golfers. The 09 Hole course was enlarged to
12, when the benevolent governor - who surrendered a major chunk of land from his official
resident - granted additional land to the club in 1966. It was only as late as September 1983 that a
regular 18 Hole PAR 72 Course was finally laid out over Sprawling 132 Acres. Afternoon return to

Day 06: Chandigarh - Shimla


After breakfast drive to Shimla. Afternoon city tour of Shimla. Overnight hotel.

Day 07: Shimla


Shimla was summer capital during British Raj & no English Township could be completed without a
golf course. A suitable site was finally chosen at Naldhera, which is 23 KMS away from Shimla.
Course is carpeted by a fine spirgy turf, which requires little maintenance. The PAR 68 Course is

Fort, through "Chandni Chowk" or Silver Street, experiencing the
sights and sounds of this very busy avenue heading west from the Fort. Chandni Chowk - literally
means "moonlit crossroads" and an area which best represents the "super-oriental" - the glory and
the guile; the grandeur and the grime, with its crowded bazaars, twisting lanes, maze of small
streets, strange aromas, the pungent odour of Oriental spices, the cries of shopkeepers, coolies and
"rickshaw-walas".

Day 3: Delhi - Udaipur

City tour of Udaipur - the romantic Lake City in Southern


Rajasthan, famous for the stunning white marble Palace built on an
island in the Lake Pichola. It was the former Palace of the
Maharana and now converted to one of the most glamorous hotels
in India. The tour will cover the magnificent City Palace, the
Jagdish temple, the pleasure gardens and a drive around the other
nearby lakes.

The magnificent City Palace, which is simply enormous - an


assemblance of not one but four separate palaces covering some four acres of area and exceeding
all other palaces for colossal grandeur. Here you will marvel at rooms with mirrored walls and ivory
doors, colored glass windows and inlaid marble balconies; and the Peacock Courtyard.

Day 4: Udaipur
Morning tour of Nagda & Eklingji.

Eklingji in the village of Kailash Puri ( 22 kms north-east of Udaipur ). It is a tiny temple complex
with 108 shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva, the deity of the rulers of Mewar and date from the 16th
century, although this has been holy site associated with Lord Shiva since ancient times.

Nagda - close to KailashPuri down the rough country road, Nagda once a Solanki strong-hold now in
ruins is one of the most ancient places in Mewar dating to the 11th Century.
Late afternoon enjoy a cruise by private boat on the placid waters of Lake Pichola. From the lake
you have a wonderful view of the City Palace stretching along the east bank, while the south bank
has gardens running down to the waterside.

Day 5: Udaipur - Ranakpur - Kumbhalgarh


Morning drive to Kumbhalgarh enroute visiting Ranakpur Temples.

Visit the Ranakpur temples - the most magnificent 15th century


Jain temples situated in the deep secluded valley of the Aravalli
Hills. Though over 500 years old, the temples here are superbly
preserved in a near-perfect condition. In the centre is the main
"Chaumukha temple" dedicated ot Adinath. The most distinctive
features are the 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, of which no two
are exactly alike. Every conceivable surface is carved and every
corner and angle is engraved with Jain images. The tour also
includes visit to two more Jain temples and the Temple of the Sun
God with its erotic sculptures.

Continue drive to Kumbhalgarh.

Afternoon visit the Kumbhalgarh Fort (alt 1,087 m) was the second most important fort of the
Mewar Kingdom after Chittaurgarh. Built mostly by Maharana Kumba (11485), it is situated on the
west facing ridge of the Aravallis, commanding a great strategic position on the border between the
Rajput Kingdoms of Udaipur (Mewar) and Jodhpur (Marwar). It gives superb views over the lower
land to the North-west, standing over 200m above the pass leading via Ghanerao towards Udaipur.

Day 6: Kumbhalgarh - Jodhpur


After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Jodhpur.

whole of fort-studded Rajasthan is situated on a high natural rock bluff and from which you can look

Day 7: Jodhpur - Jaisalmer


After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer.

Upon arrival at Jaisalmer - check into hotel. Afternoon drive out to the Sand dunes, enroute
stopping to visit several interesting villages and the way of life in one of the largest desert in the
world. Enjoy a Camel Safari in the thar desert and over the massive sand dunes and witness sunset.
It can be an unforgettable experience.

Day 8: Jaisalmer
After breakfast at the hotel, proceed for city tour of Jaisalmer.

Visit this perfect Rajput walled desert city which is like a golden
jewel shimmering above the hard sand. Visit the palaces, the Jain
temples and magnificent Havelis which are quite different to the
Shekhavati Havelis - they are very tall to catch the breeze and
thick - walled to keep cool, with jali screens. Instead of paintings,
their exterior walls have been carved to honeycomb delicacy. Visit
the city's magnificent havelis or merchant's houses, each richly
decorated and carved from golden yellow sandstone - Patwon-ki-haveli (House of the Brocade
Merchants) is the largest and most elaborate of the famous havelis of Jaisalmer. The Nathmalji-ki-
haveli (The Mansion of Nathmalji), the last of the great havelis was built in the late 19th
century.End the morning with a visit to Gadisar Lake - the large natural oasis that attracted Rawal
Jaisal to this site.

Visit the Fort - built in 1156 by Rawal Jaisal, the Jaisalmer Fort is the second oldest fort of Rajasthan
after Chittor. One fourth of the population lives inside the Fort.

Afternoon, visit the Royal Cenotaphs of the Rawals in Barra bagh where the rulers were cremated.
This is also the best place from which to watch the spectacular desert sunset, and photograph the
fort. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: Jaisalmer - Osian


After breakfast drive to Osian - the ancient site of 8th Jain temples.

Osian - is an oasis in the desert, and a great centre of Brahmanical


and Jain religions. This luxurious tented camp nestles in the most
marvelous sand dunes of the great Thar Desert.

Late afternoon, Camel safari through the great dunes to reach


Khetasar, a "Bishnoi" village for tea & coffee in a hut, near the
oasis where all the village women come to collect water.

An evening splendor with the family of Maharaj Ratan Singh -


camp-fire, folk musicians & dancers followed by candle-lit dinner
with liveried waiters under the stars and in the romantic silence of the great desert dunes.

Day 10: Osian - Pushkar


After breakfast, drive to Pushkar.

Pushkar - is famous for its colourful annual fair during kartik poornima (full moon) in November
each year. At this time this otherwise peaceful and gentle village on the banks of holy Pushkar lake
is thrown into colourful confusion when the desert tribes and camel
caravans meet to trade cattle, camels, goat, sheep, clothes,
jewellery and spices beside the sacred Pushkar Lake and to
perform their rituals in its waters, to the accompaniment of temple
& folk music. Upto 200000 traders and 50000cattle pour into town,
along with numerous festoned camels and colourful pilgrims. After
10 hectic days of livestock dealing, camel racing and colourful
festivities, everybody goes for a big holy dip in the lake on the
night of the full moon. (Kartik Purnima).

Upon arrival check-in at camp. The Swiss Camp captures the


luxurious nostalgia of a bygone age of the Maharaja's Safari and Shikar camps, combined with

Day 11: Pushkar


Full day at the fair. Built as 'an explosion of fun, frolic, games and laughter', the fair provides some
wonderful photographic opportunities and is a rare change to see Rajasthani women decked out in
all their traditional jewellery, dress and finery. Temple music wafts through the night, as the fires die
down and the Rajasthani melodies played on the stringed ek-tara come to a close. On the night of
the full moon, the pilgrims bathe by moonlight, then send marigold and rose petals floating across
the lake on green plate-like leaves. It is worth getting up early to see the camels and tribes rousing
themselves in the pink of the dawn desert light.

Day 12: Pushkar - Jaipur


After breakfast, drive to Jaipur.
Upon arrival in Jaipur - check into hotel.
Afternoon city tour.

Tour of the City - "The Pink City" is spectacularly set within surrounding rugged hills, dotted with
ancient ruined fortresses. Your tour will include the imposing City
Palace, still home to the Maharaja although several of the rooms
are now open to the public. Many antiques and artefacts belonging
to the ruling family are housed here, including a collection of
weaponry. You will also visit the Hawa Mahal "Palace of the Winds",
and the open-air Jantar Mantar Observatory to see the vast
astronomical instruments. Enjoy a stroll through the colourful
bazaar before returning to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 13: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra


After breakfast, tour of the impressive Amber Fort, situated on a
ridge just outside Jaipur City. At the foot of the hill you will mount your caparisoned elephant for the
slow but steady climb up to the main gate, making your entrance in the time honoured fashion. The
Fort, completed in the early 18th century, took over 100 years to build and now, although deserted,
offers a fascinating insight into the lifestyle of the Moghul ruling families.

Afternoon drive to Agra (265 kms / 6 hrs) enroute visit Fatehpur Sikri.

Fatehpur Sikri - drive to the impressive sandstone fortress of


Fatehpur Sikri. The fort was built in the 16th century and only
occupied for a few years before being abandoned, leaving the
buildings in virtually perfect conditions.

Continue drive to Agra, upon arrival check in at Hotel.

Day 14: Agra - Delhi


Early morning visit the Taj Mahal to witness its changing colour at
sunrise. (Closed on Fridays)

Taj Mahal is the mausoleum of Empress Mumtaz Mahal, the beloved spouse of Shah Jahan, who died
in 1630. The Taj complex comprises a forecourt, a lofty entrance, a charming formal Mughal garden
with canals and a central tank with a series of fountains, the tomb proper, and an attached mosque
on the west and its symmetrical counterpart on the east. The Taj is remarkable for its perfect
proportion and rich pietra dura, with minute details executed with great skill. The building, often
styled "a dream in marble" is said to have taken at least 22 years (1631-1653) to build.

Return to hotel for breakfast.

After breakfast, visit the Red fort( Thereafter drive to Delhi enroute visiting sikandra.

Agra Fort - lies on the bend of the river Yamuna, almost in the heart of the town. Akbar built it as
his citadel over the years 1563-73 in the finest architectural style. It has imposing gates and walls
of red sandstone and a moat. (Only for guests who are not taking the extension to Khajuraho &
Varanasi).

Sikandara - lies 8 kms north of Agra, the site of the tomb of Akbar. The emperor's mausoleum lies
inside a huge garden. The slim minarets of the imposing gateway sprout from a wealth of Moghul
inlay work in stone. Each floor of the four-storied mausoleum is a series of arcades, tapering to a
marble cloister, which seems to float on the top. Legend says that the pedestal in the tomb chamber
once supported the Kohinoor diamond.

Upon arrival in Delhi wash and change rooms will be provided and dinner.
Thereafter transfer from hotel to the airport for flight back home.

Sariska Tiger Reserve is situated in the northern part of the Aravali hills, nearly 200 kms. From
Delhi on the Delhi-Alwar-Jaipur Road. An area of 800 sq. kms, Sariska was declared a sanctuary in
1955 and it became a Tiger Reserve in 1979.

In Sariska, wildlife observation at the water holes is fascinating during the hot days of April, May
and June. Water requirements increase and wildlife activities get restricted to the water holes,
specially around Kalighati and Slopka. Sambars, chitals, nilgais, chausinghas, jackals, wild boars,
langurs etc. visit water holes throughout the day. The tiger appears around dusk or during the
silence of the night. Besides leopard, the hyena, jungle cat and wild dog are the other main
predators.

Day 04 : Sariska-Jaipur, 110 km/2 hours


Drive to Jaipur, enroute visit Amer Fort.
Amer Fort, set in a picturesque location is a fascinating blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture.
Built in the 16th century by Raja Mansingh in red sandstone and white marble, the palace complex
has some very interesting apartments. Jai Mandir, Sheesh Mahal, Sukh Niwas, Ganesh Pol and
Temple of Kali are some of the prominent areas of interest. Elephants are provided to ascend the
fort to visit the complex.

Jaipur, this city was built by Maharaja Jai Singh, the notable astronomer 260 years ago. Visit the

Surrounded by the Vindhyas and the


Aravalis, amidst vast, arid and denuded tracts
of the desert ecology of Rajasthan, lies the oasis of
biomass, the Ranthambhor National Park, spread
over an area of 392 sq.kms. of dense forest with
nullahs and waterfalls.
The herbivorous population includes chital,
sambar, blue bull and chinkara. Sambar deer are the
pride of the park. There is no other park in Asia,
where these largest of all Asiatic deer can be seen so
frequently during the day. Wild boars and langurs
are a common sight. Among the reptiles,
crocodiles can be seen basking in the sun, near
the lakes.
The tiger is the biggest attraction of this park. According to naturalists, Ranthambhore is one of the
best parks in the country for observing and photographing the activities of the tiger. Other
carnivores in the park include leopard, hyena, jackal, fox, caracal, jungle cat, sloth bear and ratel.

Day 08 : Bharatpur-Fatehpur Sikri-Agra, 50 km


Morning drive to Agra, en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri, 10 km from Bharatpur, on the way to Agra.
Fatehpur Sikri, the birth story of this beautiful city is interesting. There, in a grotto in Sikri, lived a
Muslim Saint, Sheikh Salim Chishti by name. Akbar hearing of his renown, asked for the blessings of
a son, and when a son was born, not only was the child named Salim, the site for a mighty and
ambitious project - a city - was chosen near the residence of the saint erected in 1569. The
shortage of water lead to the desertion of this city. Visit the mosque of Salim Chishti, Panch Mahal
and other palaces.

Agra, the home of the immortal Taj Mahal, the inimitable poem in white marble is the first

was completed in 1653 AD. Agra Fort, the imposing structure on the banks of the river Yamuna is
replete with priceless examples of craftsmanship in the Mughal period, including the beautiful pearl
Mosque, it was designed and built by Emperor Akbar in 1565 AD. The tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah
built between 1622 AD by the Empress Nur Jehan, in memory of her father, Ghias-id-Din Beg., is
considered a precursor of the Taj Mahal.

Day 05: Periyar-Kumarakom, 156 km (via Kottayam)


Drive to Kumarakom via Kottayam. Kottayam, 64 kms from Cochin, is another commercial
center of Kerala. Dotted with churches and covered with rubber plantations, Kottayam is just
16 km away from Kumarakom and Vembanad Lake. To the city's west are delightful
backwaters and to its east is the most fertile and scenic part of the Western Ghats having
rubber, tea, coffee, pepper and cardamom plantations. On arrival, transfer by ferry to
backwater Resort. Rest of the day free.
Day 06: Embark on Houseboat /Thottappally village-Houseboat
After breakfast, board a Kerala Houseboat, popularly known as 'Kettuvalam'. Today cruise
through Pallathuruthy Canal, Karimpavalavu village, Karumady canal - a long stretch of
narrow canal - to reach Thottappally village for night stay. Enroute you can visit Karumady
Kuttan (a statue of Buddha and a Temple). Evening witness the sunset through the coconut

Day 07: Arrive Alleppey/Kovalam

Day trip to visit Kanyakumari.(OPTIONAL): The
Southernmost end of Tamil Nadu, the land's end
of India or the point where three seas meet. Cape
Comorin or Kanyakumari is at its best during
Chitra Pournima (full moon day in April) when the
sun and moon are face-to-face at the same
horizon at the confluence point of Bay of Bengal,
Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. The Vivekananda
Memorial built on the rock in the sea where the
great philospher guide Swami Vivekananda went
into meditation that transformed him into one of the most charismatic spiritual leaders of the
century, is a place worth visiting.

Suchindram, 13 km from Kanyakumari is dedicated to a deity who is the representation of the


combined forces of Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. The temple has a beautiful gopurarm, musical
pillars and an excellent statue of the monkey god Hanuman. Enroute visit
Padmanabhapuram, 45 km. It was the capital of Travancore until 1333 and is known for its
fort, which encloses among other buildings a palace and a temple. The palace has some
important art relics while the Ramaswamy temple has exquisitely carved panels depicting
scenes from the Ramayana.

Return to Kovalam for an overnight stay.

Day 10: Kovalam-Trivandrum-Bombay


Morning sightseeing tour of Trivandrum, the capital of Kerala, built over seven forested hills.
The Padmanabhaswamy Temple, a seven-storeyed stone structure is the most impressive
landmark. This temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu contains several inscriptions and excellent
murals, innumerable intricate stone carvings adorn the temple. The Napier Museum of Arts
and Crafts completed in 1880, was an early experiment in what became known as the Indo-
Saracenic style. It house a priceless collection which includes 15th century wood carvings of
Kerala, Gold necklaces and belts, ivory work, a carved temple chariot and wooden models of
the famous temples of Kerala and 14th century Vijayanagar bronzes. Sri Chitra Art Gallery
has a collection of splendid paintings from the Rajput, Moghul and Tanjore school, as well as
China, Tibet and Japan. The most impressive of all is the beautiful treatment of Hindu
mythological themes in the oil paintings of Raja Ravi Varma exhibited here.

Day 7- Varanasi

Day 8 & 9- Varanasi/ Bodhgaya

Day 12: Varanasi


Varanasi is the oldest surviving city of the World and the spiritual and cultural capital of India. It is believed
that Varanasi offers Moksha (freedom from life and death). The bathing Ghats of River Ganges in Varanasi
reflect the realities of life, where you can see life and death together. A boat ride at River Ganges in the
morning follows an introduction to your Yoga teacher and a short Yoga training class. In the afternoon, you
will take a tour of Sarnath, where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. On returning back in the evening

Day 13: Varanasi


Morning starts with another training session of Yoga. It is time to say good-bye to the experience called India

Day 9- Agra/ Fatehpur Sikri/ Jaipur


A visit to Itmad-ud-Daulah's tomb is organized. It is the first white marble inlaid grave in pure Indo-Persian
style. Set out for Jaipur in the afternoon, visiting the deserted town of Fatehpur Sikri enroute.

Day 10- Jaipur


Full day sightseeing excursion is organized. The tour includes the Amber Fort and the Hawa Mahal. You will

Day 11- Jaipur/ Udaipur


From Jaipur you will be flown to Udaipur. A lecture on modern Indian architecture follows in the afternoon.

Enjoy the early morning boat cruise on the Periyar Lake and see the wildlife. It is an artificial lake or
reservoir created by a dam on Periyar River and is the heart of the Wildlife Sanctuary. Wild elephants,
Asiatic Deer, Black Buck and even tigers can be sighted, coming to shores of the lake to drink water. Return
to hotel for breakfast.

Breakfast follows a drive through the winding "Ghats", lined with prosperous tea plantations. Soon you arrive
at Kumarakom, the fascinating countryside of low-lying palms and paddy fields (150 km/ 4 hrs), visiting the
tea estates enroute. Kumarakom is a beautiful backwater village on the shores of the captivating Vembanad
Lake. At Kumarakom, you will find criss-crossed waterways and ancient cottages. You are at leisure in the

Day 06- Kumarakom/ Houseboat


After spending the morning at leisure, board the traditional rice boats in the afternoon and begin your
journey through the picturesque and serene backwaters and small lakes, relaxing in the tranquility of

Day 04- Darjeeling/ Pemayangtse


Set out for Pemayangtse Monastery, via the famous Tukvar tea gardens along the riverside of Rangeet.
Pemayangtse Monastery is located in the western part of Sikkim. Upon arrival, check into hotel and

Day 05- Pemayangste - Yuksom


Visit Pemayangtse Monastery after breakfast and drive to Kheocheplari Lake and then to Yuksom, the
trekking base of Sikkim and very important for sightseeing. Have your lunch and return to Pemayangtse in
the evening. (80 km - 6 hours)

Day 06- Gangtok


Drive to Gangtok, the Capital town of Sikkim, via Rabongla and the famous tea gardens of Sikkim, Temi Tea
Estate. Check in for overnight halt. (120 km-5 hours)

Day 07- Gangtok/ Enchey Monastery


Explore the Gangtok city after breakfast. The places in itinerary are the Enchey Monastery, Cottage
Industries along with visit to Research Institute of Tibetology and the Do Drul Chorten (35 km/4-5 hours).
Have your lunch and visit the Rumtek Dharma Chakra Centre, Kaygu Headquarters and return back to the

Day 08- Gangtok / Phodong Monastery


On the eight day of the tour set out to visit the Phodong Monastery in the North Sikkim highway, visiting the
