OK, this month we're going to put the Griffin player under the hammer again and this

time around we're going to test not only their skills but also their luck...

OBJECTIVES
The Griffin player must reach the exit of the laboratory and evacuate at least one warrior of any rank. The Scorpion player must eliminate all of the Griffin warriors.

INSTRUCTIONS
The entrance, exit and LevelA are already laid out on the map ready for play to begin. The Scorpion player has multiple choices for deployment of warriors, the rank and troop totals are laid out in the table as normal. The Griffin player must make his way through LevelA. As soon as one of the Griffin waniors reaches either the doorway orthe passage leading to Level B, the Grifiin player must make a dice roll and consult the following table. ROLL RESULT 1-5 Griffin player faces Level B, difficult version 6 - 10 Grifiin playerfaces Level B, easy version

Scorpion warriors receive their activation counters starting with 5 and join the game as if they'd been available from the start. Regardless of the difficulty of the Level B currently being played; there are 2 more Objective Counters -A and B - these unlock their corresponding doors (leading to LevelC) and must be activated before the Grifiin player can pass through. In addition to this the Easy version of Level B also contains a third Objective Counter - 2 - this will affect the roll upon entering Level C if a Griffin warrior is able to activate it by granting him +1. As with entering Level B, as soon as a Griffin warrior crosses through either doorA or B the Grifiin player must make a roll and consult the table below for the result. ROLL

As soon as the first Grifiin warrior enters Level C the Scorpion player undertakes the same deployment of miniatures and activation counters as listed above for Level B, following the troop and rank totals in the table.

The Griffin player may add +2 to their dice roll if they successfully activate Objective Counter 1 as shown on the map for LevelA. Once the roll has been made and the result calculated the Scorpion player lays out the floor tiles as shown on the map and deploys his forces in accordance with the table - all new Scorpion warriors deployed in Level
B are now given activation counters continuing from the last. EXAMPLE: The Scorpion player has 3 warriors left when the first Griffin miniature crossed into Level B. His warriors possess the activation counters 2, 3 and 4 - the new

SPECIAL RULES
Should the Griffin player possess a warrior with the ability Mineclearer,'that miniature may undertake to destroy the doorways between the levels, thereby reducing the number of enemy miniatures the Griffin player must face and preventing the Scorpion player from being able to attack from both the front and the rear. To do this, follow the instructions for the ability Mineclearer as laid out on the back of the Griffin Minelayer card, and lay ONE mine on any of the squares covered by a doorway or passage where two levels meet. Once the mine is set the Griffin player can choose to sacrifice the activation of one of his miniatures and detonate the mines

instead. lf a mine is successfully detonated the doonruay or passageway is considered to be blocked for the rest of the game. NOTE: This method of detonation can only be used when
rigging mines to the weakened passages between levels and in any other situation in this mission mines are used as normal.
