Travel Infor mation / Travel Docume nts Approximately three months before the beginning of the cruise, you will receive travel information concerning your cruise as well as a brochure with the excursion programme and prices. Your travel documents including ship ID cards and vouchers as well as detailed information concerning your voyage will be sent to you approximately four weeks prior to departure, upon receipt of the final payment. Ve randa Suite and Oce an Suite for Single Occupancy If you book a Vera nda Suite or a n Ocea n Suite for single occupa ncy, accommodation will be provided in Categor ies 12, or in Categor ies 34. T here is a f ixed allotment of these suites for each cr uise, a nd you will receive a conf ir med suite number. Pr ices for the Vera nda Suites in Categor y 5, for Spa Suites, G ra nd Suites, G ra nd Pent h ouse Suites a nd O w ner Suites for single occupa ncy on request. Gua rante e d Suite Accommodation will be provided in a suite of Categor y 14, subject to availabilit y. If you have booked a combination of several cr uises in a guaranteed suite, it will be necessar y to change suites af ter each individual cr uise. Unfor tunatel y, continuous occupa ncy of the sa me suite throughou t the cr uises is not possible. You will
receive your exact suite number at the time of emba r k ation on boa rd (limited allotment). Payme nt We k indly request that you pay the cr uise pr ice by bank transfer. A deposit of 10% of the cr uise pr ice per passenger must be paid upon the conclusion of the contract, i.e. upon receipt of the writ ten book ing conf ir mation. T he bala nce is due a nd payable four weeks before the sta r t of the cr uise. You will receive your f inal travel documents af ter your pay ment has been credited to our account (four weeks prior to depar ture at the earliest) and we have received your passpor t data in full. Change s of Booking Book ings may be cha nged up to the 210 t h day before the sta r t of the cr uise if desired. Hapag-L loyd Cr uises cha rges a processing fee of 50 (US$ 65/ 39) per person. A change of book ing on the 209 th day or less before the star t of the cr uise presumes a cancellation by the passenger, subject to the Ter ms a nd Conditions of Travel accord i ng to Clause 11 and requires a subsequent new booking. Travel Cancellation Insurance A travel ca ncellation insura nce policy from EUROP ISCH E Reise versicher ungs AG is included in the cr uise pr ice for the ser vices as adver tised in the catalogue. It covers the ex penses descr ibed in the section Ca ncellation by the Passenger (pages 28 31) up to a cr uise pr ice of 50,0 0 0 (US $ 6 0,0 0 0/ 39,0 0 0) per person in our Ter ms a nd Conditions of Travel. T he ca ncellation costs for cr uise pr ices in excess of 50,0 0 0 per person will be covered onl y in the ratio of the pr ice to the sum insured of 50,0 0 0. If the pr ice of the cr uise is more tha n 50,0 0 0 per person, we recommend that you ta ke ou t a n additional travel ca ncellation insura nce w hich will cover the pr ice of the cr uise in excess of this a mount. T he deductible is 20 % of the refundable loss, bu t no less tha n 25 (US $ 30 / 20) per person. Early Booking Discount If you book your cr uise up to 210 days (approx. seven months) before the voyage is due to star t, you will receive an ear ly book i ng discount of 5 % on the cr uise-only pr ice (catalogue pr ice minus share of fuel costs (ship)). On-board Booking Discount If you book directly on board, you will receive a discount of 3% on the cr uise-only pr ice (catalogue pr ice minus share of fuel costs (ship) and potential ear ly book ing discount). Combination Discount You can also combine successive cr uises as you wish and receive a 5% discount on the cr uise-only pr ice of the respective successive cr uise (catalogue pr ice minus share of fuel costs (ship), reduced by potential ear ly book ing discount and on-board book ing discount). Combination Bonus You will receive a combination bonus if you book several successive cr uises. T he bonus will be dependent on the cr uise route. Nationals from other countries are kindly requested to enquire about the regulations that apply to them when booking the cruise at their travel agency or with the consulate respectively embassy in charge of them. As some of the required visa are only valid for a limited time and because visa regulations may change, we kindly ask you to await receipt of the travel information which will be sent to you approx. three months prior to the start of the cruise before applying for your visa. General Information Regarding Vaccination Requirements T he traveller should enquire about infection and vaccine protection as well as other prophylactic measures in due time; if applicable, it is advisable to consult a doctor regarding thrombosis and other health risks as well as vaccine intolerances. A yellow fever vaccination must be performed at least ten days before entering the country in which a yellow fever vaccination is mandatory and has to be recorded on the vaccines record card.
