Requirements

P View was developed for the Windows NT/Windows 2000 operating system. It operates on any INTEL hardware platform that is mentioned in the Windows NT/Windows 2000 Hardware Compatibility List.
2.1 Hardware requirements

2.2 Software requirements

P View requires these software installations: For Windows NT: Windows NT 4.0 Workstation or Server Windows NT 4.0 networking Service Pack 6A Internet Explorer 4.01 or higher for Windows NT ODBC 3.51 For Windows 2000: Windows 2000 Professional or Server edition Windows 2000 networking Service Pack 1.0 for Windows 2000

For reasons of system performance, using the compression option is not recommended for those directories containing P View programs (i.e. ICUBESYS, ICUBE.CNF, PLANT).
2.2.1 Installing Windows networking (required for Windows NT only) Check via Windows Start=>Settings=>Control panel=>Network whether Windows NT

Networking is installed properly. Required are at least: One network adapter (if you have no network card use the MS Loopback-Adapter) One network protocol, TCP/IP (recommended) Four network services: RPC, NETBIOS; Workstation and Server

3.1 Profibus card installation

Install the PROFIboard PCI according to the manufacturers instructions. Switch Power OFF of the PC. Select an available slot for the PROFIboard. Plug the board into the socket of the motherboard. Close the cover and switch power ON. After the start there will be an error message that one of the system parts could not start, because the Softing driver is missing. You can acknowledge this message.
3.2 Key installation Plug the OPC dongle (option, green) into the parallel port as the first key. Plug the P View dongle into the parallel port as second key.

It is very important that the keys are installed in this order, because otherwise some parts of

the program might not work!

3.3 OPC-Server Installation

Insert the P view CD (Installation CD) in the drive and the installation procedure will start

If the autorun is not activated please start it by clicking the file PView.exe on the CD. Check Action 1: Profibus OPC Server In the next Menu select Install Profibus OPC Server Select all the components and the destination as shown in the picture

automatically.

On completion, the PROFIBUS Control Panel is opened.

Press Scan Nodes and confirm.

- PROFIboard-PCI will be detected with Node0, with green check mark icon If you have a dual channel card, proceed with the next step, otherwise press OK to finish the installation Select tree node PROFIboard-PCI and press the Add button - Confirm on Node1, FMS/DPV1 Master and accept all other defaults without modification - The result of this is a new tree node Node1, with yellow question mark icon Select the tree node Node1 and press the Apply button - The question mark icon turns to green check mark icon The final result looks something like this:

Press OK to finish. See Appendix 2 for the configuration parameters.

3.4 P View Installation

P View installation interacts with software parts installed from Windows NT/Windows 2000; in addition, P View uses the networking software specific to Windows, even if no network adapter is installed on the computer.
3.4.1 Installing the hardware protection key Note!
Note!

The P View software is supplied with the Rainbow Sentinel protection key. The hardware protection key must be connected to the parallel port as the second key.
If the protection key has been issued with an expiry date, check the computer system date

before installing P View. P View cannot be run if the protection key license has expired.

Insert the P View CD again Check Action 2: P View In the next Menu select Install hardware protection key In the Rainbow Technologies Sentinel window, choose command Functions => Install In the Sentinel Install dialog box, confirm the path of the Sentinel files by clicking OK. If installation is completed successfully, the Driver Installed message box is displayed.

Sentinel Driver.

Click OK. Choose command Functions => Quit to exit the Rainbow Technologies Sentinel window.

3.4.2 Installing P View and OPC-Driver

Close all active Windows NT applications. Next select Install MDAC Now select Prepare Installation Now select Install P View

Proceed .. => Simatic IT Management Console and Historian setup => yes Now select Simatic IT Management Console and Historian setup => Next

Insert the Commuwin CD; installation starts with autorun (if autorun is disabled run setup

4.1 Appendix 1: Communication parameters

The table lists the recommended bus parameters for various segment couplers. If in doubt, the operation manaul of the coupler concerned should be consulted. The methods described in the PROFIBUS standard can be used to calculate any parameters not listed here.

4.2 Appendix 2: Configuring the OPC Server parameters

Use card 1 when adding a new node in the OPC-Server: Card 0 is reserved for Commuwin II In order to cummunicate with the devices, the baudrate and communication parameters of the OPC Server must be set. The following figures show the parameters for the Pepperl&Fuchs segment coupler. If you are using another coupler, please check with the manufacturer regarding the parameters to use, see Appendix 1. You can use the quickstart button to browse the connected devices.

4.3 Appendix 3: Configuring Commuwin II parameters

Make sure that Commuwin II has been configured as Card 0, otherwise it will not work. Before you start Commuwin, check the communication parameters. For example, the following parameters are used by the the Pepperl&Fuchs segment coupler: If you are using another coupler, please check with the manufacturer regarding the parameters to use, see Appendix 1.

4.4 Appendix 4: Installation of the MS LoopBack Adapter

In certain NT installations (local, without network) it is possible that the ACPLT/KS Manager cannot be started. The following error message appears in the event log: Cant register TCP Transport or Cant register UDP Transport These error messages appear when the TCP/P stack cannot be fully initialised under Windows NT. In contrast to other operating systems (Unix, Windows 95,...) Windows NT does not provide a Loopback-Device in the standard installation. The Loopback Device emulates a network card. To install the Loopback Device, proceed as follows: Activate the dialog Network/Properties in NT Activate the register card Network cards Add the network card MS Loopback-Adapter Confirm the default frame types If necessary, insert the Windows NT Installation CD in the CD-ROM drive and view path 1386". The network card MS Loopback-Adapter" appears in the list of installed network cards. Activate the register card Links in network properties Display the links for: all protocols Open the tree TCP/IP protocol Click on MS Loopback-Adapter and move the network card to the top position in the display by using the button move up Enter a TCP/IP address and a subnet mask, e.g. (10.10.10.10/255.0.0.0) Restart the computer The ACPLT/KS manager should now start in local operation.

P View wurde fr das Betriebssystem Windows NT/Windows 2000 entwickelt. Es luft auf jeder INTEL Hardware-Plattform, welche in der Windows NT/Windows 2000 Hardware Kompatibilittsliste erwhnt wird.
2.1 Hardware-Anforderungen

2.2.1 Installation des Windows Netzwerks (nur fr Windows NT erforderlich) berprfen Sie via Windows Start=>Settings=>Control panel=>Network ob das Windows

NT Netzwerk richtig installiert ist. Bentigt werden mindestens: Ein Netwerkadapter (falls Sie keine Netzwerkkarte haben, verwenden Sie bitte den MS Loopback-Adapter) Ein Netzwerkprotokoll, TCP/IP (empfohlen) Vier Netzwerk-Services: RPC, NETBIOS; Workstation und Server

3.1 PROFIBUS-Karteninstallation
Installieren Sie PROFIboard PCI gemss Anleitung des Herstellers.

Schalten Sie Ihren PC AUS. Whlen Sie eine verfgbare Einbaustelle fr die PROFIboard. Stecken Sie das Board in den Sockel auf der Hauptplatine. Schliessen Sie die Abdeckung und schalten Sie den PC EIN. Nach dem Start erscheint eine Fehlermeldung Eines der Systemkomponenten konnte
nicht gestartet werden, weil der Softing-Treiber fehlt.

Sie knnen diese Meldung besttigen. 3.2 Schlsselinstallation Stecken Sie als erstes den OPC Hardware-Stecker (Option, grn) in den parallelen
Anschluss.

Stecken Sie danach den P View Hardware-Stecker in den parallelen Anschluss.

Um die richtige Funktion der Programme zu gewhrleisten, ist es sehr wichtig, dass die
Hardware-Stecker in dieser Reihenfolge installiert werden!

3.3 OPC-Server-Installation

Legen Sie die P View CD (Installations-CD) in das Laufwerk, der Installationsprozess

Falls Autorun nicht aktiviert ist, bitte die PView.exe-Datei anklicken und starten. Whlen Sie Action 1: PROFIBUS OPC Server Im nchsten Men bitte Install Profibus OPC Server whlen. Whlen Sie alle Komponenten und das Ziel, wie im Bild gezeigt:

startet automatisch.

Bei Fertigstellung wird das PROFIBUS Control Panel geffnet.

Sollten Sie dies zu einem spteren Zeitpunkt bentigen, knnen Sie es

Start => Settings => Control Panel => PROFIBUS ffnen.

Drcken und besttigen Sie Scan Nodes

- PROFIboard-PCI wird mit Node0 gefunden und mit einem grnen Hkchen-Symbol versehen. Falls Sie ber eine Zweikanal-Karte verfgen, fahren Sie mit dem nchsten Schritt fort, andernfalls drcken Sie OK um die Installation zu beenden Klicken Sie auf PROFIboard-PCI und drcken Sie den Add Button. - Besttigen Sie Node1, FMS/DPV1 Master und akzeptieren Sie alle anderen Voreinstellungen ohne nderungen. - Das Ergebnis ist ein neuen Eintrag Node1" mit gelben Fragezeichen-Symbol. Whlen Sie den tree node Node1 und drcken Sie den Apply Button. - Das Fragezeichen-Symbol wird in ein grnes Hkchen-Symbol umgewandelt. Das Endergebnis sieht danach folgendermassen aus:

3.4 P View Installation

Die P View Installation nutzt Software und Bibliotheken, welche mit Windows NT/2000 installiert werden. Zustzlich nutzt P View die Netzwerkinstallation von Windows selbst, wenn kein Netzwerkoption installiert ist.
3.4.1 Installation des Hardware-Schutzsteckers Hinweis

4.1 Anhang 1: Kommunikationsparameter

Die Liste zeigt die empfohlenen Bus-Parameter fr verschiedene Koppler. Im Zweifelsfall sollte die Betriebanleitung des Kopplers zur Hilfe herangezogen werden. Die Methoden, welche im PROFIBUS Standard beschrieben werden, knnen zur Berechnung der hier nicht aufgefhrten Parameter genutzt werden.

Nur in Verbindung mit Siemens DP/PA Koppler IM 157-0AC00. Hngt von der Anzahl PA-Gerte ab; wird blicherweise durch die SPS berechnet. Dem berechnetem Wert 20000 fr die Arbeit mit Commuwin II addieren. ! Empfehlung, kann variieren je nach Anforderungen. Die Praxiserfahrung zeigt, dass tatschliche Werte nicht kleiner als angegeben sein sollten. " Kleinere Werte bedeuten, schnellere Integration von Commuwin II in den PROFIBUS. # Empfehlung: Werte nur so hoch setzen, wie wirklich bentigt, eventuell Commuwin II bercksichtigen. Der angegebene Wert ist auf jeden Fall der Hchstwert.

4.2 Anhang 2: Konfiguration der OPC-Server-Parameter

Benutzen Sie die Karte 1, wenn Sie eine neue Anschaltung im OPC-Server hinzufgen; Karte 0 ist fr Commuwin II reserviert. Damit die Kommunikation mit den Gerten funktioniert, muss die Baudrate und die Kommunikationsparameter des OPC-Servers entsprechend eingestellt sein. Die folgenden Abbildungen zeigen die Parameter fr den Pepperl&Fuchs Segmentkoppler. Wenn Sie einen anderen Koppler verwenden, kontaktieren Sie bitte den entsprechenden Hersteller fr die notwendingen Parameter, siehe Anhang 1. Sie knnen den Quickstart-Button verwenden um die angeschlossenen Gerte zu browsen.

4.3 Anhang 3: Konfiguration der Commuwin II Parameter

Stellen Sie sicher, dass Commuwin II mit der Karte 0 konfiguriert wurde, ansonsten findet Commuwin II keine Gerte. Bevor Sie Commuwin starten sollten Sie die Kommunikationsparameter berprfen. Folgende Parameter werden z.B. vom Pepperl&Fuchs Segmentkoppler verwendet:

4.4 Anhang 4: Installation des MS LoopBack-Adapters

In bestimmten NT Installationen (lokal, ohne Netzwerk) besteht die Mglichkeit, dass der ACPLT/KS Manager nicht gestarteted werden kann. Folgende Fehlermeldung erscheint im Event-Log: Cant register TCP Transport oder Cant register UDP Transport Diese Fehlermeldungen erscheinen wenn der TCP/P Stack nicht vollumfnglich unter Windows NT initialisiert werden kann. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Betriebssystemen (Unix, Windows 95,...) ist Windows NT nicht mit einem Loopback-Device in der Standard-Installation ausgestattet. Das Loopback-Device emuliert eine Netzwerkkarte. Um das Loopback-Device zu installieren, fahren Sie bitte folgendermassen fort:: Aktivieren Sie das Dialogfenster Network/Properties auf NT Aktivieren Sie die Registerkarte Network cards Fgen Sie die Netzwerkkarte MS Loopback-Adapter hinzu Besttigen Sie die voreingestelle Rahmentypen (Frame types) Falls notwendig, legen Sie die Windows NT Installations-CD in das CD-ROM Laufwerk und Pfad 1386" suchen. Die Netzwerkarte MS Loopback-Adapter" erscheint in der Liste der installierten Netzwerkkarten. Aktivieren Sie die Registerkarte Links in Netzwerkeigenschaften Die Links fr All protocols anzeigen ffnen Sie den Baum TCP/IP Protololl Klicken Sie Aufschlag MS Loopback-Adapter und bewegen Sie die Netzwerkkarte an die oberste Stelle im Display. Benutzen Sie hierfr die Schaltflche Move up. Geben Sie eine TCP/IP-Adresse und eine Subnetmaske ein, z.B. (10.10.10.10/255.0.0.0) Starten Sie den Computer neu Der ACPLT/KS Manager sollte nun in Lokalbetrieb starten.
