Dallas Baptist Association Fall 2013

Change A Life: LocallyGlobally

In multiple ways, a Christ-follower can impact a life and make a difference. WMUs Fall Celebration will focus on that theme.

Christian Womens Job Corps

Petrella Booker, executive leader, and participants from local Christian Womens Job Corps will share testimonies of how their livesand their familieshave been changed. CWJC (as well as the Mens entity) offers a hand up, not a handout, by providing an array of life and job skills training, all in a Christian context. Bring items to assist the Dallas ministry: Kleenex tissue, paper napkins, paper towels, toilet paper, sturdy paper plates and bowls, bottled water, 13-gallon trash bags, coffee/sweetener/sugar/non-dairy creamer/tea, snack crackers, granola bars, foam cups 16 oz/8 oz.
Join us at the recently relocated Royal Haven Baptist Church, 3700 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch 75244, on Saturday morning, September 28. From 9:15 to 10:00 a.m., explore the bus in the parking lot (a few people at a time); come to Fellowship Hall to purchase WorldCrafts products, enjoy refreshments, and register. From 10:00 to 11:20 a.m., the Celebration will be held in Fellowship Hall.

WorldCrafts
Sandy Wisdom-Martin, executive director of WMU of Texas, will present the global expression, which will be the WorldCrafts bus and the opportunity to hear the miraculous story of Gods provision. WorldCrafts develops sustainable, fair-trade businesses among impoverished people around the world, offering an income with dignity and the hope of everlasting life through Christ. Products will be available for purchase by cash, credit card, or check.

A Church Expression
This year the focus of the Baptist Womens World Day of Prayer will be in the local church. Its a great opportunity for the people in your church to see the value of the World Day of Prayer as it touches the lives of those in the seven continents of Baptist World Alliance. See suggestions in the current WMU Year Book, Missions Mosaic, and Missions Leader. Remember: the offering is to be sent to NABWU, P. O. Box 282, Bordertown, NJ 08505-0282.
