Full air suspension

Air-suspension Full air air-suspension like our VB-FullAir is a full-automatical (adjustable) solution for the suspension problem. The existing leaf- or coil-spring will be disassembled for a full-air-suspension system. This contains following parts airbellows, shock absorbers, compressor and an electrical control unit. The air-suspension system more or less filters the unevenness of the road which increases comfort. The vehicle stays on the drive-height set by VB-Airsuspension with fitting of the set. This driving height is lower then the original height of the unloaded vehicle what increases the stability and road handling of the vehicle. The vehicle level can be changed manually with the standard handheld when the vehicle stands still; therefore lowering of the chassis/ load platform is one of the systems standard possibilities.

Advantages of FullAir air-suspension

Your vehicle has a constant driving height, which is even lower as the original driving height of the unloaded vehicle Better road handling and stability of the vehicle, what offers the driver the a safer feeling. The air-suspension system filters the unevenness of the road which increases comfort. Raising / kneeling facility for easy loading and / ore unloading the vehicle.

Full air-suspension is to be divided into 4 groups:

Full air suspension 1C

VB-FullAir 1c is a fullair suspension for the rear axle for models made through the carfactory before 2006. By the 1C there is placed 1 hightsenor That's why it's called 1C Full air-suspension offers the following advantages:

A constant ride-height The electronic system ensures that, independent of the load, the vehicle will always have the ride-height set by VBAirsuspension. The rear end of the vehicle will not lower due to heavy load. Plus, the constant ride-height has a positive influence on the fuel consumption. To ensure that the brake pressure corresponds with the load of the vehicle, a LSV-unit ( only used when the vehicle is equipped with a LSV) is used to regulate the brake pressure depending on the pressure in the bellows. Adjustable floor height The air-suspension system is standard equipped with a raise and lower switch. This switch offers the opportunity ( when the parking-brake is used) to change the height of the rear of the vehicle to ease ( un) loading of the vehicle or to ease ( de)coupling of a trailer. Improved road handling Applying an air-suspension system in most cases requires a modification of the shock absorbers. Almost every airsuspension system comes with specific shock absorbers to improve the vehicle's road handling and straight-ahead running. This will also reduce tyre wear-off. Improved stability Due to the unique VB-Airsuspension construction, every air-suspension system has it's own integrated stabiliser. This improves the vehicle's stability and offers the driver the a safer feeling. Better comfort The air-suspension system more or less filters the unevenness of the road so the passengers are subjected to less engery ( vibrations). This icreases comfort and reduces fatigue. That is why more and more car manufactures equip their vehicles with air-suspension.

'Full air suspension 4C

Full air suspension for both the rear and front axle, for types of vehicles introduced by the manufacturer of the vehicle after the year 2006, with fully new electronics. VB-Airsuspension from Varsseveld Holland is not slowing down in developing and improving its air suspension systems. For the VB-FullAir, an integrated air suspension for both the front and rear axle, is developed a completely new control unit , the VB-ASCU 4-C (VB-Air Suspension Control Unit- 4 Corner), which automatically controls the ride height of the vehicle. The 4-Corner air suspension is referring to the 4-corners of the vehicle, meaning both axles, the left side and the right side. Because of the at all times checking and correcting (no matter what the actual load, or point of gravity of the vehicle is) the vehicle is safer because of the behaviour of the vehicle. The ride will be increased for driver, vehicle and freight if the vehicle is prepared with VB-FullAir 4-Corner. When the vehicle is standing still, the riding height can be adjusted manually, because of this standard feature the backside of the vehicle can be lowered extremely. After years of research and development, combined with aspects of several electronic systems the VB-ASCU-4C now is operational. This system is fully compatible with ABS, ESP and other electronic systems and is capable of communicating with these systems. Because of these qualities, a fully integrated system is made.

Autolevel

By using this feature the vehicle can automatically be set horizontal, even if positioned to a bumpy surface. By simply pressing the button in no time the vehicle will be levelled. Bumps up till 130mm can be won over.

VB-SDLC In the near future the option VB-SDLC (VB-Speed Depending Level Control) will optional be available. By integrating this option, the electronics will lower the air suspension from 20 up to 40mm depending on the actual driven speed. A more stable characteristic of the vehicle will be achieved. Off-road en Car park

By choosing the Off-Road mode the ride height of the vehicle can be automatically increased limited by a maximum speed.

In the CarPark mode the air suspension can automatically lower the vehicle to a minimum ride height, driving in this position is also limited by a maximum speed of the vehicle. The hardware of the VB-FullAir consists of an exceptional spring construction which achieves with only two, especially for the new kit developed, air springs marvellous driving features. The VB-FullAir is free of maintenance because of the smart construction with panhard rod (cross bar, only used at by origin spring leave suspended vehicles), the system is safe and simple. In stead of the usual setting of Airsuspension using 2 or 4 air bags, or a full hydraulic suspension, the VB-FullAir air suspension is unique concept characterized by simplicity. The amount of parts of which the kit consists has decreased up to 30%: VB-Airsuspension set a new standard.

Fitting of the system can be completed in a few hours, there are no difficult or poorly checkable methods of production. Specific tools are not necessary during fitting this air suspension. Cutting drilling or welding of the vehicles chassis or metal parts are out of the question. The rigidity and resistency to corrosion of the fitted parts, the chassis as well as the body work will not take effect.

Most of the parts of the VB-Airsuspension systems are free of maintenace. To prevent casual visits to the workshop, VB-Airsuspension advice to check the air suspension by the ( yearly ) inspection of the vehicle.

VB-Airsuspension wants to make clear that a light commercial vehicle prepared with VB-Airsuspension can easily conquer the daily heavy duty activities under safe conditions without any problems.
