Accelerometer and Microcontroller based Augmentative September 07 Current Communication Guides : Prof Anil Prabhakar and Prof. Nitin Chandrachoodan, Dept. of Electrical Engineering, IIT Madras Developed a Motion Sensing System to detect movement using LIS3L02AS4 MEMS accelerometer interfaced with a PIC16F90 (as of current) microcontroller Used in-built Analog to Digital Convertors to read and convey sensor data via CYWM6935 Wireless USB LR Radio Module to a receiver setup for further processing Interfaced the system with a computer to form a wireless mouse application

Used system to study printer head motion for use in industry

Robotic Manipulation System September 07 Current Worked with a 6 member team in building a pneumatic muscle based robotic grasper Using a set of 2 muscles in an antagonistic set up to provide power and servo motors to provide precision movement where necessary
