As a part of our studies the industrial training from the


principal study point of view is very important for BBA student.

As per the curriculum by the Saurashtra University, it


i s c o m p u l s o r y t o h a v e a S e r v i c e b a s i n d u s t r y ’s v i s i t i n S Y B B A a n d
industrial visit report. The aim of this training is to get look of
what we study in the classroom study would not help to grasp the

HISTORY & DEVELOPMENT

The PVR was established in the year 1980, and became


one of the most famous restaurants in the Rajkot. At that time the
services provided by the PVR is too less. And the workers of the
PVR were only 10. Now a day their resources are of human is
more than 50.

PVR has come long was since its small beginning and
is now one of the most famous and most respected restaurant in
the Rajkot.
In 1999, they made one another branch at national
highway 8-B.and it is also a resort.

INTRODUCTION

The key department of hotel is food department. If the


v e r y n i c e s e r v i c e i s p r o v i d i n g b y s e r v i c e d ep a r t m en t b u t t h e f o o d
is not that much good. The customer does not prefer that
restaurant.

In the food & beverage department, they have to


m a k i n g c l e a n i n g e v e r y d a y. T h e y h a v e t o u s e b e s t i t e m s f o r m a k i n g

THE PVR is having storage department in which they


are store different raw material some of them have long period
like 15 day to changes, some of them have very short period i.e.

The store keeper examine store after every 15 days this


s t o k e i s o i l , s u g a r, t e a , c o f f e e . A n d o t h e r s t o c k e x a m i n e s s t o r e d a i l y
bases i.e. fresh vegetable, milk.

A f t e r e x a m i n e b y s t o r e k e e p e r, h e m a k e a l i s t o f t h i n g s

occupies a significant place whether it is a new firm or it is an

enterprise. It means decision of determining price of a product.
Price can be defined as the exchange value of the goods or
s e r v i c e s i n t h e t e r m s o f m o n e y. T h e p r i c e o f p r o d u c t s s h o u l d b e
determin ed in such a matter so as to offer a reasonable amount of

man and the maximum satisfaction to the consumers.

with potential customers and as well we see, it is not a simple
process.

carried on by most of the companies. The main purpose of every
organization is to promote sales and for this purpose each and
every organization use advertisement.

communication presentation and promotion of goods, service or

Finance is the lifeblood of the business. It is


impossible to run a business without finance. In every function of
business need finance. In this way the finance is important role in
business.

“Finance is like an arm or left either you use it or


loose it”.

which is concerned with the planning and controlling of the firms
financials recourses. A capable financial management can lead the
unit to the path of highly profitability with limited financial
turnings.

Financial management is responsible for estimation of


financial resources; their procurement and their application in a
manner in which they help the enterprise grow according to well-
defined objectives.

All the activities requires finance for their


implementation like to establish a business, to buy row materials
and machines, to make production, to pay wages, salaries, to
market the products etc.

organization. Fixed assets of a company are the permanent capital

can be used year by year for a long period of time, they must be
checked. A large fixed asset does not mean that the firms are very
well but there must be proper use of fixed assets.

There must be proper and appropriate provision for


depreciation of on fixed assets. The financial manager is
responsible for maintaining proper management of fixed assets.
Financial manager has to take proper decision for the investment
in fixed assets.

INTRODUCTION

is goals. Therefore human resources are the most evident part of
an organization.

Personnel management is concerned with managing


people at work. All the activity of the unit are initiated and
determined by the employees, who make up plants, institutions or
offices. All these are up productive without employees. Thus,
p e r s o n n e l m a n a g e m en t c o v e r s t h e m a n a g e m en t o f e m p l o y e e s a t a l l
level.

An organization may be manufacturing firm, a busin ess


concern, an insurance c o m p a n y, a government a g en c y, social
o r g a n i z a t i o n , h o s p i t a l a u n i v e r s i t y, a p u b l i c s c h o o l , r e l i g i o u s t r u s t
or even families. It may be small or large, simple or complex, it
needs to manage the efforts of the humans engaged in it and to
direct them towards organization missions and goals.

The internal department structure of personnel


department varies widely from one company to another; the
personnel department has to function as a medium to establish

RECRUITMENT is the process of attracting, potential,


qualified a competent employee with required characteristic and in

capable applicants for employment the process begins with the

The objective of selection process is to determine


whether an applicant meets the qualification for a specific job &

stages. It is a very complicated and it is generally based on the
nature and technology of the unit. It is concerned with securing
relevant information about an applicant like education, date of
birth, age and his qualification etc.

to develop and rise within the organization and increase their
m a r k e t v a l u e , e a r n i n g p o w e r a n d s e c u r i t y.

In THE PVR hotel wages & salary is to be paid on


monthly basis. They pay salary to their employee on 7 th in every
month.

Since time must for every company to measure the regularity of its
employee. In time keeping system the arrival and living of
employees are recorded.

THE PVR has a TWO shift of duties. The employees of


this company CAN`T enjoy one off-day in a week. Beside they can
NOT also enjoy the festival holidays.

manager of the unit has to be alert to their work and try to take

As THE PVR is not focused o advertisement of their


service. THE PVR should make more advertisement.

I visited THE PVR at Rajkot. They have made good


work in past and achieved their great name I and today they are
m a r i n a t i n g i t v e r y e f f e c t i v e l y I t h i s w a y, w e c a n s a y t h a t f u t u r e i s
quite bright and good.

In PVR the relation between employee and employer


are very good and harmonious. I enjoyed very much with the staff
of the unit.

For better future and great success in new hotel, my all
