REGISTRATION FORM RULES AND REGULATIONS

Saturday 26TH October, 2013 12PM TO 5PM Drummond Park Linsley Street, Cobar

MINING GAMES, DRUMMOND PARK, FESTIVAL OF THE MINERS GHOST

RACE INSTRUCTIONS Each team will complete the 3 races as one team.
Childrens Races- 6-10 years old and 10 to 15 years old
Find the Gems- Teams will use sieves to find the most gems using sieves to find the gems in the sand. A time limit will be set, the team with the most gems wins! Fill the wheelbarrow- a relay game where teams fill small buckets with sand and carry to a wheelbarrow and fill to the line. The first team to fill the wheelbarrow wins! Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) races- A relay race where teams need to dress in the PPE gear (Goggles, white chemical suit, dust mask, hard hat, ear muff, gloves) run around a cone and return passing on PPE to the next participant in the team. The first team to have all members complete the race, are the winners. Adults Races- 16 and over Flip the Truck Tyre- The team members will work together to flip (not roll) the truck tyre to the designated area and return. The first team to cross the line will be the winners. Fill the wheelbarrow- a relay games where teams need to fill a wheelbarrow four times with sand and carry to a designated area to dump on a tarp. The first team to complete four full wheelbarrows is the winner. Protective Personal Equipment (PPE) races- A relay race where teams need to dress in the PPE gear (Goggles, white chemical suit, dust mask, hard hat, ear muff, gloves, gumboots) run around a cone and return passing on PPE to the next participant in the team. When the first team to have all members complete the race they are the winners. There will also be a sausage eating competition. One team member from each team is nominated by their team to compete in the challenge, where a separate prize and trophy will be given. Forms will be handed out on the day.

PARTICIPANTS AGREEMENT & LIABILITY WAIVER, RELEASE & INDEMNITY

This section must be signed by all participants. For participants under 16, a parent or guardian must sign.
I agree to participate in this event on the following basis: 1. 2. I acknowledge that participation in the Mining Games 2013 involves serious risk. I understand that I should not participate in this event unless I am physically able and that I do not suffer from any medical or physical condition that may, through my participation in this event, endanger my own life or safety, or the life or safety of any other person. By participating, I accept all risks associated from my participation, which could result in loss of life, temporary or permanent injury. Accordingly, I release all people associated with the conduct of the event from, all injury, loss or damage arising out of or connected with my participation in this event. For clarification, the people released include (but are not limited to) Cobar Shire Council, organisers, promoters, sponsors, managers, and all their respective directors, officers, employees, agents, contractors and volunteers including event medical, paramedical and rescue personnel. This release continues forever and binds my heirs, executors, personal representatives and assigns. I consent to receiving any medical treatment that event organisers deem necessary during or at the event. I consent to event organisers using my name, image and likeness before, during or reporting after the event, for event promotional broadcasting or reporting purposes in any media. I am responsible for my own safety. Safety precautions undertaken by organisers and their employees or representatives (such as course supervision, race safety briefings, equipment checks, attendance by rescue personnel) are a service to me and other participants but are not a guarantee of safety. I am fully responsible for the security of my personal possessions at the event. My registration is not transferable to other people.

RULES FOR ALL PARTICIPANTS

1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. A Team must consist of 6 children less than 16 years of age for Children races, and 4 Adults for Adult races. Competitors under 16 years of age must have parental consent. All competitors participating in adult events must be over the age of 16. All competitors participating in junior events must be over the age of 6. All participants must read and sign the enclosed indemnity form. Race officials must be obeyed at all times. Shoes are highly recommended.
