3.7. Response time: less than 1.5 cycle while the sensing voltage changes by 5%. 3.9. Parallel input: droop can be adjusted to about 6% at 5Aac, 2VA, and 0.8 power factor. 3.10. Auxiliary input: about 30% voltage can be changed to 3Vdc, 0.6mVA, 3Vdc signal. 3.11. Low frequency protection: runs at 47Hz when set to 50Hz, or 57Hz when set to 60Hz. 3.12. Excess flashing protection: if the exciter field voltage exceeds about 75 ~ 125Vdc, the AVR output is blocked after a time delay. The output is sent for about 10 seconds after detecting excess-voltage. However, the time delay runs in an inverse proportion as the voltage increases. The output is blocked instantly if the output is over 240Vdc. 3.13. Voltage formation: voltage is created by the residual voltage of the generator. The minimum residual voltage is 5Vac. 3.14. Power consumption: 35W max. 3.15. Fixing volt: Under M5. 3.16. Dimension: D200 W140 - H40(mm), fixing part space: D190 W90(mm) 3.17. Tare weight: 1.35Kg, weight including the package:1.5Kg 3.18. Using fuse: 250Vac, 10A. 5 -20L, current limit fuse (fuse having high blocking capacity), (BUSSMAN: GDB-V-S500 GLASS TUBE),(SIBA: F or FF, 70 001 34, 70 001 40) 4. Wiring 4.1. Check whether AVR is suitable for the generator exciter, and then wire the lines as shown in Figure 1. 4.2. Connect to terminals No. 6 and 7 if the external voltage adjustment resistance is used. Otherwise, disconnect terminals No. 6 and 7. 4.3. Connect generator EX. FIELD to F+ and F- terminal. Use the proper polarity. 4.4. Make sure to supply AC220V to terminals No. 3 and 4. 4.5. Disconnect terminals No. 1 and 2 if CCCT for parallel operation is not used. 4.6. Disconnect terminals A and C if the auxiliary input (ACC INPUT) is not used.

5.1. Check again whether the device fits into the generator capacity. 5.2. Check whether the device is firmly attached. 5.3. Check whether the device is properly connected to the generator. 5.4. Turn the voltage adjustment resistance (VOLT.) inside the AVR counterclockwise to the maximum extent. 5.5. Turn to the middle if the external voltage adjustment resistance is used. If not in use, disconnect terminals No. 6 and 7. 5.6. Turn the frequency setting switch to fit into the generator. Do not change the factory settings of the frequency adjustment resistance. 5.7. Turn the parallel operation voltage reduction resistance (QDC) counterclockwise to the maximum extent. 5.8. Turn the stability adjustment resistance (STAB.) to the middle, and the turn the stability selections switch to the "Off" position. 6. Adjustment 6.1. Voltage stability adjustment 6.1.1. Start up the engine and tune it to the rated voltage and speed. 6.1.2. Turn the stability adjustment resistance (STAB.) slowly clockwise to enter into the unstable voltage state. Then, turn it counterclockwise to some extent. 6.1.3. Apply the rated load to see if the response characteristics can be detected. 6.1.4. If the response characteristics are not satisfactory, turn the stability adjustment switch to the "On' position and try again. 6.1.5. The stability adjustment switch is mostly used if the generator is of large capacity. 6.2. Frequency adjustment 6.2.1. Check the generator capacity (for what Hz), and set the frequency setting switch to fit into the generator. 6.2.2. Turn the frequency adjustment resistance counterclockwise to the maximum extent. 6.2.3. Start up the engine and tune it to the rated voltage. 6.2.4. Set the engine speed to the frequency where low frequency should be controlled. 6.2.5. Turn the URF resistance slowly clockwise to the point where the generator voltage should drop (at this point the UFR LED lamp flashes). 6.2.6. Set the engine to the rated speed.

6.3. Adjusting over-flashing blocking

6.3.1. The function prevents the generator output by blocking the AVR output if the field circuit voltage of the exciter exceeds the setting value. 6.3.2. Two types of operation are available. The output is sent for about 10 seconds under 240Vdc voltage, whereas the time delay runs by the short time in a reverse proportion as the voltage increases. 6.3.3. If the AVR output is blocked, it can be restored by maintaining the input under 6Vac for longer than 2 seconds or by shutting down the engine. 6.3.4. Start up the engine and set to the rated voltage and speed. 6.3.5. Apply the rated load to the generator. 6.3.6. Measure the AVR output voltage. 6.3.7. Turn the over-voltage blocking adjustment resistance (OVX) counterclockwise to run it at a low voltage. 6.4. Voltage reduction adjustment for parallel operation 6.4.1. Wiring is very important. If the sensing voltage is received from R phase and S phase, make sure to connect CCCT during T phase. 6.4.2. Remove the jumper from terminals 1 and 2, and decide which CCCT will output a 5A current from the rated load. 6.4.3. Start up the engine and tune it to the rated voltage and speed. 6.4.4. Apply the load included with the power factor to the generator. 6.4.5. Measure the generator voltage and check whether the voltage is strong. At this time, if the voltage goes up, CCCT has the long polarity. Change the polarity of CCCT. 6.4.6. If the voltage does not go up or down, the voltage sensing does not match the CCCT phase. Review the circuit and adjust it. 6.4.7. Apply the same load to each generator and adjust the voltage reduction adjustment resistance (QDC) so that the same voltage is dropped. 7. System startup 7.1. Start up the engine and run it at the rated speed. 7.2. Check whether the voltage is established properly. If not, release the wire from F+ and F1 and connect it to the BATT.(+) and BATT.(-) to see if the voltage is established. 7.3. If the residual voltage of the generator is under 10Vac at minimum, configure the initial flashing circuit as shown in Figure 2 before use.

[ Figure 2 ] 8. AVR operation test 8.1. Connect the wires as shown in Figure 3. 8.2. An incandescent lamp does not exceed 100W. 8.3. Apply 220Vac 50Hz or 60Hz voltage. 8.4. Turn the voltage adjustment resistance slowly clockwise. The incandescent lamp will be on.

8.5. Turn the voltage adjustment resistance slowly counterclockwise. The incandescent lamp will
be turned off. If it is turned clockwise at the point where the lamp is turned off, the incandescent lamp will be turned on. If it is turned counterclockwise to some extent, the lamp will be turned off. If this state can be obtained, the AVR is normal.
