Schedule Term Period Placement Test Class Begins Class Ends August 30 (Thu) ~ September 19 (Wed), 2012 August 29 (Wed) 2:00 p.m. at the Auditorium (Rm. 121) of the KLI August 30 (Thu) 9:00 a.m. September 19 (Wed)

Placement Test: on August 29 (Wed) at 2:00 p.m. Please be sure to take the placement test. It takes around one hour and consists of writing test and interview with our instructor. If you choose none on the application form, you will automatically be placed into level 1 (beginner level) without taking the placement test.

Korean Cultural Activity Several activities are offered for two hours a day, one or two days a week, in the afternoon. Courses: Korean cooking, Samulnori, Korean Performance

Student ID Card Students can get their ID card from their teacher after taking the ID picture at the KLI office. With the KLI ID card, KLI students have the same access to Yonsei facilities and at campus events. Day of taking ID picture: August 30 ~ September 3

2. Korean Language Classes

Class Requirements Students are required to attend at least 90% of the total class hours (54 hours). Students who can not meet this requirement will fail their level and can not receive the transcript.

Completion and Credits Students in the program can receive 2 credits upon successful completion of the course requirements. Credits may be transferred from the Institute to the students home university, but the number of credits accepted will depend on the students university. On request, an official transcript will be sent to the registrars office of the school requested by the student.

3Housing Information: DMC Ville

August 28 (Tue) from 2:00 pm. September 20 (Thu) by 11:00 am.

Check-in Every student who applied for the [DMC Ville] can check in directly without dropping by the KLI office from August 28 (Tue) from 2:00 pm. Students names and room numbers are informed to the [DMC Ville] in advance and students can check in by telling their name to the front of [DMC Ville]. All rooms which we can offer are double room only.

Room and Facilities

Two bed rooms, a living room, bathroom and shared kitchen in each residence for 4 students. Bed rooms are double. Include simple breakfast as cereal, Bread and coffee (Monday to Friday). You will share a shower and toilet with your roommate. Internet connection is available. Sports complex such as a gym, sauna, swimming pool, golf driving range, and squash with free access. Single Bed (4), Shoe rack, Sofa, LCD TV, Washing Machine, Refrigerator, Table, Toaster, Air Conditioner etc.

4. How to come to Yonsei University and DMC Ville

from Airport by only taxi Considering your baggage and the Korean language competency, taxi is the best way to come to Yonsei University. But it is expensive. There are two kinds of taxis in Korea: regular taxi and deluxe taxi. The taxi fare from Incheon airport to Yonsei University is about 70,000 won for regular taxi, and around 100,000 won for deluxe taxi.

from Airport by bus Students may come to Yonsei University by an airport limousine bus. To take an airport limousine bus, take #6011 seat bus from the airport. And take off the bus at the Ewha Womans University rear gate (E-Dae Whoo-Mun: ). Cross the road and you can find a bakery named [PARIS BAGUETTE]. Turn left from the PARIS BAGUETTE ( ) and go straight ahead about for 3minutes. The Korean Language Institute is a red brick building on the right. The airport limousine bus fare is 10,000 won.

If you cant speak Korean, show the direction below and the campus map, and then the taxi driver will give you a ride. You can print out a campus map on the Yonsei Universitys website.
