The House Technology Subcommittee of the Science, Space & Technology Committee is charged with "voting technology and standards". Jim Bridenstine is Vice Chairman and Thomas Massie is Chairman of the subcommittee. I haven't looked into what has ever been done in that area, but the idea rather captured my imagination when I saw it.
