Dear Children, Energy is the pivot of the entire Universe, the various forms of life being possible due to transformation of energy from one form to another. Everything in this universe be it the Progressive Physical World or the Sacred Spiritual Space draws and drives itself from this very essential resources. The following is an interdisciplinary project on Energy based on exploration of energy and its consumption in our daily lives. This project will be assessed as an FA II activity for Science and Hindi.

Activity 1: ENERGY- RESOURCES AND CONSERVATION The activity is targeted at making the children think of various ways and means for making efficient use of available energy resources and also new techniques/methods of using and conserving energy from both conventional and nonconventional sources. OBJECTIVE Students will be able to * Read power and voltage rating written on electrical appliance * Energy consumed by one electrical gadget * Find bill amount * Suggest measures of energy conservation by understanding importance of electrical energy EVALUATION CRITERION * Recording of data in tabular form 8M * Comparison of calculated bill amount with actual bill amount 4M * Measures to minimize energy consumption 4M * Over all presentation 4M
