Video T shows ss a video of Wonho Chung. After the video finishes, T asks ss same questions. Who is this? - Where is he from? - How many languages does he speak? What does he do for a living? Gist Task T places ss in pairs. T hands out Reading Comprehension for Gist Task and cut up paragraphs t0 each pair. Ss have to work together and figure out where each paragraph goes in the reading and glues them in the proper place. T monitors ss. Feedback Detailed Task T passes out Reading Comprehension with Detailed Task to every student. Students must answer multiple choice questions about the text (but not write in the boxes). Ss check their answers with their partner. T leads feedback session. T reads questions and calls on ss for correct answers. Class discussion T gives ss Vocabulary Worksheet. (Worksheet is folded in half so ss can't see answers). Ss have to use the reading text for context clues and have to match the vocabulary words to the definition. ICQ's: Are you going to work alone or with your partner? Alone. their backs facing in towards the circle. T stands in the middle of the circle so ss can not see him/her.
