CCPP START-UP CHECK LIST

Check list for Electrical System :

Intimate GEB in well advance about the plant start up & get clearance from GEB. Ensure that all HV, MV, LV power supply systems are energized. Verify normal status of all breakers. Verify power supply for I & C. D. G. sets are available. Verify the gas compressor is in operation and that the gas supply pressure is sufficient. Verify that the primary gas skid and secondary gas skids are ready for operation ( inlet / outlet valves open ). Drain gas filter vessel as well drain collecting tank at primary gas skid. Get clearance from gas station authority. All work permits must be closed. Verify that the fire hydrant / spray water supply pressure is within the limits for the fire fighting system. Verify all fire water pumps are in AUTO mode. Verify that the fire fighting is operational ( no alarms present, discharge valves open, CO2 cylinders ready). Verify that gas detection system is operational (no alarms present). Turn on printer. Check paper supply. Verify the air supply pressure is sufficient. Sufficient demineralised water in the storage tank available. Water treatment system in operation or ready for operation. Sampling monitoring system in standby. Waste water system operational.

Check list for Cooling Water System :

Check for the cleanliness of the water in the basin. Verify the normal water level of the cw sump. Check the functioning of make up water supply from the clarifier. Check the functioning of the blowdown valve. Verify the chemical dosing in operation. Keep in operation the cw system. Verify local controls are switched to AUTO or REMOTE. Verify lubrication of equipments is available. Verify all manual process isolation valves are open.

Check list for General Items :

Verify all instrument root valves are open. Verify drain & vent valves are open / closed as per process requirement. Refer separately prepared GT START UP CHECK LIST. All pumps are available & in AUTO. Verify the position of manual valves. Verify water level in LP drum. Verify water level in HP drum. Verify condenser hotwell level. Verify chemical dosing system is ready with sufficient quantity of chemicals available in dosing tanks.

Verify that prior to start up, the ST has operated for a sufficient time period on turning gear. Verify the lub oil tank level is normal. Verify the DM water level is sufficient in storage tank for ccw system. Verify the position of manual valves.
