In today's state of affairs, the demand for mobile technology has increased. At a steady pace the VAS market is growing & it still has potential to reach & touch new heights. The Mobile VAS industry being expected to touch Rs 100,000 crores by 2020 from Rs 15,000 crore now - With the launch of 3G, Mobile broadband services, Mobile commerce & rural VAS fuelling this growth content developers are burning the midnight oil to come up with better and newer concepts and services - 3G would be the driver of MVAS in India in the future with 3G service revenues being expected to generate $15.8 billion by 2013 accounting for a share of 46% in the overall wireless service revenue. Mobile VAS has always been under influence of entertainment, be it ringing tones or other downloadable content. With the availability 3G and the introduction of LTE, we believe that video will play a critical role in VAS penetration in India. The share of VAS in operator's revenue is expected to reach 18% from current 12% with the help of high decibel 3G promotions.
