NGO : Savera Samaj Kalyan Sansthan Our centre is working & serving to the people since long back
and we providing our services in the different scopes of human & social welfare also, which are given
bellow :

(b) Camping services for health awareness in the interior part of our constituency & village area
(c) Child Education, Adult Education for displaced person.
(d) Women Education & Awareness about rights & power.
(e) All the welfarables steps whatever will comes for people

At present we are nursing & providing medical and psychological treatment for any type of
addictions.

Support for family
God grant me the serenity. To accept the things I cannot change Courage to change the
things I can And wisdom to know the difference We call this our serenity prayer. A lot of
friends have vouched for the power of this prayer. The prayer seems to have a great effect
on just about anyone who learns it with heart.

We have said it before, and we want to say it again, that the disease of addiction affects not
just the addict, but his wife, parents and children too. During and after the treatment of an
addict, it is necessary to provide full support to his family. So we have created following
groups to help various family members.

Drug Addiction is running our society and destroying the health of our

citizens and societies. Drug destroyed the creative power of millions of youth.

Therefore, there is a need to launch a movement to keep our youth, children

and society, to stay away from this dangerous thing. The institution having the

facility of 15 bedded hospital for Indoor treatment of the addicts with added

facility for the rehabilitation of the addicts.

Our centre has been actively involved in a number of

social services. Our emphasis has been lives of backward, poor and 'substance

addicted people in our rural and urban areas. Our staff comprises of professionally

qualified, Trained compounder, psychiatrist and doctors. Our daily scheddule is

devided into periods of group and sessions. Family Counselling, Meditation, Yoga,

Relaxation Excercises, Classes on physical and mental Impairments, Indoor games

and Intertainment. All patients are helped through a detoxification process followed

by counselling supervision of trained professional counsellors.

OUR MISSION : Create a Drug Free Society

Oue dream is creation of an addiction free society. For this we

employ awareness programs. Such as Seminars, Lectures, Campaign,

Exhibitations, Rallies, Jhankis, Wall Paintings, Picturial Wall Painting, Banners,

de- addiction treatment facilities and comprehensive reabilitation programmes.

Addiction to alcohol and drugs is a gigantic social malady, which hits at the very core of human dignity and
freedom. It sweeps across the world with India being no exception. An addict, if not checked in time,
degenerates to a human wreck and suffers both physically and mentally; he or she also causes untold
misery and economic hardship to his family.Realizing the urgent need to address this huge social problem
A physical, therapeutic and spiritual treatment in achieving de-addiction and abstinence from drugs and
alcohol.

 Helping patients to develop a positive attitude to take appropriate decisions


independently.
 Helping them to rehabilitate socially and for gainful employment.
 Assist family members to understand the dynamics of drug and alcohol dependant
individuals.
 To conduct research and training to handle the problem .Addiction and
prevention against relapse are concerned. More than 200 males from many
parts of neighbour States have been treated in this Centre since its inception.
The recovery rate is 65% to 70%, whereas less than 10% is the average as per
the world statistics. The de-addiction programme is conducted, based to a
large extent on charity and donations.

Treatment programme of Savera
The de-addiction treatment program is 30 days starting every Friday. The
daily routine for the Patient is as below:

The main topics discussed are given below with corresponding
reference to the therapeutic goals.

1. HIV/AIDS: Information about what is HIV, how it is transmitted, risk


factors etc. is given in a comprehensive way.
2. Substance abuse: Information about various drugs abused and their
effects is given.
3. Medical complications: Medical officer explains effects of drugs and
alcohol on various organs and systems.
4. Psychiatric complications: Substance abuse is closely related with
psychiatric problems. Various issues involved are explained in detail.
5. Sexual problems and addiction: This is one of the most important
subjects delicately explained by our psychiatrist.
6. Serenity prayer: We believe that serenity prayer is the most effective
tool in the recovery process. The prayer is explained by illustrating
various life experiences.
7. Mental health: Criteria for mental health is explained. Friends are then
helped to check the areas needing improvement to restore mental
health.
8. Physical health and fitness: Qualified trainer explains nurturing
physical health.
9. Meditation and awareness : Information of all types of drug abused
also are explained.
10. Hobbies and creativity: Inmates are given the opportunity of using
creative instances for happy and healthy living.
11. Happiness and satisfaction: We endorse the view that happiness is the
path, not a destination. The difference between point satisfaction and
process satisfaction is explained.
12. Anger control: Anger is a very common problem with addicts. Various
tools of expressing and ventilating anger are explained.
