Foreword
The Brazilian Association of Technical Standards (ABNT) is the National Forum Standardization. The
Brazilian Standards, whose content is the responsibility of the Brazilian Committees(ABNT/ CB), Sectorial
Standardization Sector (ABNT / ONS) and Study Groups Special Temporary (ABNT / CEET), are prepared
by Study Committees (EC) formed by representatives of the sectors involved part: producers, consumers
andneutral(universities,laboratoriesandothers).
ABNT NBR ISO 724 was developed in the Brazilian Committee on Machinery and Mechanical Equipment
(ABNT/CB04) by the Commission Study Thread (EC04: 003.03). The Project circulated for National
ConsultationinaccordancewithNotice05of31.05.2004,thenumber04:003.03031Project.
