CAMP REPORT IV RESIDENTIAL CAMP AT SRI DHESIKA SABHA, MATUNGA, MUMBAI 28-04-13 TO 04-05-13 The IV Residential Camp at Sri Dhesikan Sabha, Mumbai was conducted successfully by the holy grace of Aacharyans from 28-4-12 to 4-5-12. On the inaugural day, Sri Govindarajan Swami and Sri U.Ve.E.S.Mukundan Swami introduced the camp to the parents. The student trainers who came from Hyderabad shared their success stories with the parents. Around 30 students have taken part in this spiritual Residential Camp. Students were taught Dhesikan Stotrams like Kamasikashtakam, Sudharshanashtakam. They were also made to perform skits on Kulashekara Azhwar Charitram, Bhadraachala Ramadasa Charitram etc. which inspired them. Bhajans, spiritual games, Dhesikan Charitram, SriRamanuja Charitram, and Alwazh Charitram were also the part of the camp curriculum. Students were very happy and got themselves involved throughout the camp. Students were very lucky to take part and chant Dhesikan Stotrams during the daily Sattumurai. Every evening Naama Sankeerthanams were performed by the students of the Camp. One day, the students were also taken to Vittal Mandir, Wadala, where the students were very fortunate to sing Bhajans and dance in front of Lord Vittal. Students were also taken to ISCKON, Juhu where they had an excellent darshan .They were served delicious prasadam which made them more active to participate in the camp. We should thank Sri Venkateshan Swami who had come all the way from Sri Ahobila Mutt, Chembur, especially to prepare delicious prasadam for children. Special Thanks to Sri Ramaswamy Mama who had taken care of all the needs of children and made sure that everything was supplied in time... Sri U.Ve.E.S.Mukundan Swami thoroughly engaged the students in Satsangh and they too have enjoyed it! I must be greatful to Sri Mukundan Swami for constantly guiding each and every student along with me throughout the camp. Special Thanks to Smt Anu Padmanabhan and Kum Srinidhi Devanathan for volunteering throughout the camp. We also thank Sri Govindarajan Swami who out of his own interest, had designed a Poster about information on Azhwars and had presented it to every student during the Prize Distribution ceremony. On the final day the prizes and certificates were given to the children. Our special Thanks to Sri U.Ve.Govindarajan Swami, Sri U.Ve.Saranathan Swami for taking enormous efforts in making our Sampradayam accessible to children in special. This Daasa had the Bhagyam of teaching Sandhyavandhanam to the students in the camp. Also by Desikans grace, this Daasa was very fortunate in performing daily Thiruvaaraadhanam and also a Thirumanjanam for Swami Desikan of Desika Sabha, Matunga. Moreover they spend this valuable time in a SATSANG which makes them spiritually and ethically strong. I am fortunate to attend these camps.
