Entrepreneurship cum Skill Development Programme (ESDP) in Computer Hardware & Maintenance: Dates of the ESDP : 20.01.2012 19.03.2012 Details of the Programme: The ESDP was a free skill development training programme sponsored by the Ministry of MSME and implemented CED (Tamil Nadu) as a partner institution of ni-msme, Hyderabad. The topics covered during the training programme were: Basics of Computer Basics of Electronics Parts of computer Trouble shooting software installation Basic Networking and On-the-job Training

He showed interest in acquiring the skill and successfully completed the training programme. After completion of the course, certificate was issued to the candidate by ni-msme, Hyderabad.

How she was motivate to join the training at CED (Tamil Nadu) CED (Tamil Nadu) circulated pamphlets through newspaper and Ms. Poornimadevi got the information about the skill training being imparted by CED (Tamil Nadu). Ms. Poornimadevi approached CED (Tamil Nadu) and she was counselled about the various ESDPs. Since she was having a computer at home and she wanted to start a browsing and DTP centre. She also expressed her interest to learn particularly this ESDP, since she wanted to take care of the trouble shooting as and when required, which is costly when hired outside. She was firm in joining ESDP in Computer Hardware & Maintenance programme and successfully completed the training.

IV.

Current Status: Immediately after completion of the training programme, with the guidance of CED (Tamil Nadu), she initiated the activities for opening a small venture. Without minding the hardship, she started her unit within two months from the date of the completion of the Skill Training Programme in the name of Shri Nidhi Net Cafe in his residential area. After the training, she received a loan of Rs.1.50 lacs under Governemnt of Tamil Nadu UYEGP scheme. She purchased two more computers and started a browsing centre with a total investment of Rs.200000/- She has employed two persons to assist her.

The participant was given training on how to prepare, process and preserve different types of jams, jelly, squash, pickles, quality standards to be adopted, etc. Adequate practical trainings were also given. He successfully completed the training programme with confidence and proper guidance. After completion of the course, certificate was issued to the candidate by ni-msme, Hyderabad.

How he was motivate to join the training at CED (Tamil Nadu) Pamphlets were distributed at Uzhavar Unavagam. Ulzhavar Unavagam is a place where people have formed into a group and are making traditional health foods popular over centuries. Mr. Rajesh visited CED (Tamil Nadu) and approached the programme officer for undergoing the training programme. Since he had some exposure in the field of food products, he requested further input from the faculty during the training programme. He made it clear that his dream was to establish his own venture. He attended the training programme regularly.

IV.

Current Status: Mr. Rajesh started the unit with his own fund of Rs.250000/-. He is running an organic shop and tiffin Centre in Uzhavar Unavagam. He has two persons and earning a monthly income of Rs.10000/-
