It is informed that the Central Government, Ministry of Labour & Employment have in their letter No.R-11018 / 01/03-SSII(pt.) dated 10th January 2006, approved the rate of interest under Para 60 (1) of the Employees' Provident Fund Scheme, 1952 for crediting interest at 8.5% (Eight and half percent) interest per annum on monthly running balance in the accounts of Employees' Provident Fund subscribers for the year 2005-2006.
