CITY BLOOD COORDINATING COUNCIL LOGO DESIGN CONTEST

(re-launch) With the demand for visibility and a strong identity, the CBCC and its members have identified the need to create an official logo that shall be used by the council in all its communications and activities. I. Contest Mechanics 1. Eligibility. The contest is open to all Filipino individuals or teams. 2. Logo Design Features All designs should: 2.1. Contain the following words / numbers: Dagupan City City Blood Coordinating Council 2012 2.2. Utilize the vision-mission, role and values of the Dagupan City Blood Coordinating Council. 2.3. Be appropriate for a professional setting. 2.4. Not plagiarize or copy existing logos from other City / Municipal Blood Coordinating Councils or Red Cross Organizations. 2.5. Be scaleable and easy to manipulate for print and web usage. 2.6. Have a resolution at least 300ppi. 2.7. Contain the following colors (please refer to red cross logo): White - #000000 Red - #fc0000 Dark Blue - #0a2263 3. Entry. 3.1. Offline Submission 3.1.1. All entries must be submitted with a properly completed and signed Submission Folder. 3.1.2. All entries should be burned in a properly labeled CD or DVD with a durable case. 3.1.3. There should only be two (2) files found in the CD / DVD: (1) a layered format (e.g. PSD) file; and, (2) a flat format (e.g. JPEG) file. 3.1.4. Deadline for submission of entries: 5:00PM of September 10, 2013; PRC Pangasinan Chapter Office, Herrero-Perez Blvd., Dagupan City addressed to and properly received by Dagupan CBCC Secretariat. 3.2. Online Submission (E-mail) 3.2.1. All entries should be sent to dagupancbcc@gmail.com 3.2.2. There should only be two (2) files emailed: (1) a layered format (e.g. PSD) file; and, (2) a flat format (e.g. JPEG) file. For large files, the participant may send two (2) e-mails for each file. 3.2.3. The email should contain the following information: Full Name: Date of Submission: Brief Explanation of the Logo: 3.3. Deadline of submission of entries is 5:00pm of September 10, 2013. 4. The Dagupan CBCC reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions that do not meet the requirements for participation. II. Social Media (Facebook) 1. A special feature of the Logo Design Contest is the inclusion of Social Media in order to reach to a wider audience. dagupancbcc2013.logodesignmechanics

2. The contest shall be featured in the CBCC Facebook Page. 3. Submitted entries are posted online and recorded likes shall comprise 20% of the total score. 4. Deadline of online judging is set at 5:00PM of April 20, 2013. 5. There will also be a raffle contest for those who will be joining the activity. III. Judging For a more dynamic judging which will encourage participation by a wider reach of audience, 20% shall be coming from Crowdsourcing in Social Media. 1. Judging will be carried out according to the following criteria: Creativity 30% Message 30% Originality 20% Audience Impact (Social Media) 20% 2. The decision of the Panel of Judges is final and no appeal against the decision will be considered. 3. Panel of Judges. The members of the Panel of Judges shall be determined by the Board members and officers of the City Blood Coordinating Council. The CBCC reserves the right to invite artists or graphic practitioners to assist in the judgment process. 4. Date of Final Judging. Invited judges, officers and members of the CBCC shall convene for the judging of all entries on September 14, 2013 at the CSI City Mall Atrium. IV. Prizes 1. The winning logo design will be awarded a cash prize of Php 10,000.00 and a plaque. A Certificate of Appreciation will also be given to the top 5 logo designs. 2. In case of a team entry, the prizes shall be given to the team leader. CBCC shall not be responsible for the equitable distribution of the prizes. V. Intellectual Property Rights Upon acceptance of the cash prize and the plaque, the copyright and the ownership of the Intellectual Property rights of the winning logo design will be transferred to the City Blood Coordinating Council. The Dagupan CBCC reserves the right to publish the winning logo on all its print and electronic communications. VI. Agreement to Official Rules By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by the rules and conditions as established above, which can be amended or modified at any time by the Dagupan City Blood Coordinating Council, if necessary.
