intro: DIY prototypes (robots or art design), with pieces homemade (recycling guide) Part One
This Instructable does not explain how to build some robots or art designs, does not explain how to design them, however it is a guide on how to find materials suitable
for construction (mechanichal) of prototype robots (the vast majority of these articles of daily use, almost always end up in the trashl), this Instructable also serve for the
construction of numerous ways (not just robots) that will give life to your ideas for robots and other projects than involve the construction of prototypes, and the better: all
is free, and easily to find in every home. I hope you find useful and you waiting for the second part
The pics of this step of instrutable (Intro) show the tools and elements neccesary for Assembling-disassembling our prototypes or designs

step 1: Materials
Everything you need for this instructable are in every home, the list is rather long, since each material is different, and can be used for a specific use. I must emphasize
that actually, I live in a far province of poor country, and it's very difficult to find some materials, which led me to research with different thigs of daily use, which are
composed of different materials, some elastic (such as plastic), some very fragile (such as a achrillic),and others very rigid (alluminium and others metals), is important to
learn to determine what is the right to use in our projects, either by weight or another physical attribute.
Materials:
Bottles of PET or plastics
Cds with cases
Cassetes with cases
Dvds with cases
VHS or Betamax Tapes
Longplay disks
Styrofoam film
Aluminium profiles
Pieces of silicone bar
Screws
Rubber band
Straples
Steel wired
Wires
Wood stick

Image Notes
1. Cassete case (music tape), this is my favorite plastic for anything, i like the
transparency and his rigidity for little pieces, it´s fragile but if we work with care, is
a amazing material,. Trick: with a piece of cloth moistened with solvent, the
Image Notes acrylic can get an opalescent appearance.
1. bottles, the PET is a very good material 2. Case for color pencils, sometimes it´s free for buying
2. white bottle 3. Case of casette of a v8 videotabe
4. Cup of achrylic
Image Notes
1. Steel wire
2. Clip
3. straples
4. Bar of silicone for gluegun
5. Rubber band
6. Acrylic spoon
7. Diskette 3 1/2"
Image Notes
1. Piece of wood for kitchen, mixing with bits of silicone (like nuts) is very useful
2. Wire
3. internal Wire of coaxial wire, this wire is excelent for holding and unholding
many times

Image Notes
1. Dvd Case
Image Notes
1. Screws and Nuts of diferent recycled parts
Image Notes
1. Kitchen scissors, are special for cutting plastic materials.
2. Aluminium film
3. Diskette 3 1/2" disasembled
Image Notes
1. Pieces of plastic from dvd case, a very elastic material

Image Notes
1. LongPlay Disk, I love this Material for the colour and flexibility
2. styrofoam film. Pie
3. aluminium profiles of old frames and windows
Image Notes
1. VHS tape Dissasembled, this plastic is hard, we can get any pieces of plastic
of these black boxes
2. This is special for wheels, i like it !
3. separators
4. screws
5. acrylic window
Image Notes
1. Dvd disk, it´s hard and fragil, but if you have care with it, may be used for
diferents proyects. It have two layers of plastic material. The cd disks have only
one.

Image Notes Image Notes
1. Casette dissasembled, this part may be used for various things. 1. This is a piece of alluminium of a diskette 3 1/2", holding with the fingers.
2. I used these little pieces to make pulleys or wheels. 2. This is a wheel of a casette player
3. Two wheels more 3. This hole was made with a neddle
4. Screwdriver 4. Piece of silicone bar
5. screws 5. Screw
6. spring of a pen
