I started with The New Straits Times Press, Malaysia's biggest daily newspaper and later moved to The Edge Communications where I spent 5 years looking after various task and responsibilities. My last employment was BusinessWeek magazine, looking after the sales growth and brand promotions in Asia Pacific market specifically corporate accounts. In BusinessWeek, I helped in establishing and maintaining up to 70 key customer accounts in Asia and working together with a team of 6 Country Managers. My major accomplishment includes generating annual individual sales of over US$200,000, which required strong skills as a detail-oriented team player and strong negotiation skills. These accounts were hotels, airlines and major corporations. Apart from that, during my venture in PR & Communications consultancy, I have consulted clients on their communications and publicity campaign effectively. This includes the use of media, consistent key messages and killer marketing strategies. I have helped companies launched their products, event managed their events and solicited tie-ups with third parties to further enhance their brand name. I believe that my work experience and personal attributes makes me a good fit for this job position in your company. My background includes 9 years of work experience in IT-related areas, with the recent 6 years in senior managerial positions, and spans areas such as software development, procurement, IT education & training, IT service support and now most recently in a parking industry focusing on Human Resources, IT development and Purchasing. As the Senior Administration Manager, I was responsible for all aspects related to Administration, Human Resource, IT development, Purchasing and Stock / Inventory Control matters. These will include the structuring of the operations function as a cohesive unit; the conceptualization and day-to-day management of simultaneous projects and HR issues be it internal or external; delivering customized training solutions to various level of staff within time and budget constrains, and the fostering of innovative IT needs as solutions to operational matters. I was also engaged in strategic planning discussions with other senior managers in the company to assist in the development and support of programs, initiatives and performance indicators. Work and coordinate with Finance Department in the company to streamline their budgeting processes and improved on the tracking mechanism for cost items to enhance the analysis of financial performance. Several projects have also been initiated under my direction, including one to enhance the procurement workflow process, and another, a staff performance appraisal or assessment process. I have attended a series of training sessions conducted by MDC (QuESTS Programme) for Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) course.
