M&S inquiry: PLANS for a massive Marks and Spencer at Cheshire Oaks go
before a public inquiry this month.
The 150,000sq ft store, to be situated next to the David Lloyd fitness centre, has
the support of the local council but the plans have been called in by the Secretary of
State.
M&S have promised that the development will not affect existing stores in Chester.
But there are certain concerns that it could further increase the pulling power of
Cheshire Oaks to the detriment of Ellesmere Port and Chester.
