This year at Lotusphere, we saw significant improvements and IBM demonstrating stronger integration across all Lotus products. Additionally, in light of competitive pressure from Microsoft, IBM also demonstrated better integration with Office products. In general, IBM rates highly for continuing enhancements to core franchise products. Recommendations To make the most of the continuously evolving IBM Lotus products, IBM customers should do the following: Explore rapid movement toward the Notes newer user interface models to minimize the lure of Outlook. Carefully examine the opportunity to upgrade Notes and Domino applications, similar in look and feel to Web 2.0, available before the end of 2008.
