Best 22" LCD within 14k? post E-Book Reader post

Hi Guys, I am using a ViewSonic 1903 WM and
I just bought a 9800 GT graphics card. So I am
thinking of upgrading to a 22" monitor. I am
mostly into gaming and movies. I am confused
between Samsung 2243NWx, Samsung T220 and Dell
S2209W.
Dell S2209W has resolution 1920 while Samsung
2243NWx has 1680. Plz guide me guys.

Dude, Dell has reputation, performance and
reliability. I myself have brought over 10 Dell
products and never had a problem. While Samsung and the
others might not be bad performers, they are not as good as
Dell. The T220 has a wobbly stand and I have seen some fall
too. The Samsung one doesn't have a DVI port and the touch
keys aren't backlit, so it won't be easy to use them. I suggest
you go for Dell.

they available in India? Saw a cool Sony model
available in the States which can display pdf, play
MP3s and also display pics. But displaying pdf is most imp.
My budget is up to 12K. Any idea?

ebook readers. Obviously the screen is nothing like the Sony's

Hey for that budget u can buy a good phone and
den use it as a pdf reader.
HTC P3400i is a good one having 2.8 inch
screen which can easily serve pdf reading. Among others
there is HTC Touch and a recently launched HTC Touch Viva.

Suggest UPS post
Guys I have 2 buy a new UPS. Suggest a UPS for 4K. It
should be any online UPS & able 2 handle 450 Watt SMPS for
15 mins!

Recently my cousin bought a Moser Baer 600VA
UPS for Rs.1700. The official link says it gives
10-15 mins backup with a 15" CRT. This time
should be more with an LCD, as they consume considerably
less power.
I know you have a better budget & you may want to go
in for a better brand or maybe a higher capacity UPS. I gave
you the above info just in case. I personally use Numeric UPS.
It has got a serial port at the back using which the battery
status, voltage fluctuations, etc can be monitored in real time
using the bundled s/w. However it is really old (around 5 yrs)
but works like a charm even today.

I recently bought APC BACK-UPS ES 650VA 230V
which will be more than sufficient for your 450
Watt SMPS. It costs around Rs.2800. Remember,
APC UPS are the best.

CHIP has changed one person at least, for sure:
'me'. I came to CHIP forums looking for a crack
for GTA 3 - 4 years back and now I'm the person
who makes sure no one does the same mistake
again (LOL). CHIP has taught me everything that I know today.
I am always in debt to CHIP as it has changed my life for

Hi guys!
I was using an Asus M2N VM-DVI mobo, but due to some
incompatibility issues it was damaged. Some how the vendor
agreed to replace or refund it. My requirement is, the mobo
should have good onboard graphics support. I already have a
2GB DDR2 RAM and my budget is around 4-4.5k. Plz suggest
an excellent mobo with AMD X2 6400+ processor.

with the latest chipset. Gigabyte is known
to have clean and hassle free BIOS tweaks
compared to Asus counterparts. It has excellent power
consumption management in idle and load. It is a typical good
old fashioned no nonsense VFM board with clean layout-
typical from AMD stable.
Zebronics power supply is enough for this config provided
you are using only onboard.

The CHIP forum helped me make a proper buying

more than four years but I began to actively
