The Unbreakable Rope of Rescue

And We sent down in the Quran such things in which there are a healing and mercy for the believers (17:82) blessings of the Quran and how do we ponder and take heed from the Quran? The six primary functions of the Quran are:
Recitation of the Quran: Verily the one who recites the Quran

The Glorious Quran

he Glorious Quran serves as an inspiration to millions of Muslims who regard it as a boundless reservoir of guidance and hope. The Quran shapes our thinking and determines our values. It provides comfort to the anxious, hope to the despondent, courage to the faint-hearted, faith to the despairing and direction to the confused. The glorious Quran serves as the fountain of wisdom which nourishes the spirit, the mind and the heart. It is a healing for our broken spirit, a mercy for the Believers and forgiveness for the wayward. The Quran has describes itself as:

The Rope of Allah: And hold fast all together to the Rope of Allah.

(3:103) A Book of enlightenment: A Book We have sent down to you so that you may bring forth mankind from the darkness into the light...... (14:1) The scale of justice: We have sent down to you (O Muhammad) in truth so that you might judge between men as guided by Allah. (4:105) The criteria between truth and falsehood: Truth has come and error has vanished; verily error is fleeting. (27:73) The Convincing Proof and Light: O mankind! Verily there has come to you a convincing proof and a light from your Sustainer (4:174) The most perfect and complete guidance: Lo! This Quran guides to that which is most upright. (17:9)

beautifully, smoothly, and precisely, he will be in the company of the noble and obedient angels. And as for the one who recites with difficulty, stammering or stumbling through its verses, then he will have TWICE that reward. (Bukhari and Muslim) Understanding the message of the Quran: Will they not then ponder over this Quran or are there locks upon their hearts? (47:24) Submitting to the Law of the Quran: When Allah and His Messenger have decreed a matter, it is not for a believing man and a believing woman to claim freedom of choicer have an option insofar as they themselves are concerned. Whoever disobeys God and His Messenger has evidently gone astray. (33:36) Interacting with the Quran: And when he (Nabi r) recited the verses which referred to the Glory of Allah, he glorified Him, the Great, and when he recited the verses that mention supplication, he supplicated, and when he recited the Verses that mention seeking Refuge of the Rabb he sought (His) Refuge. (Muslim) Finding solace in the Quran: Those who believe and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, verily, in the remembrance of f Allah do hearts find rest. (13:28) Learning and teaching the Quran: The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it (Bukhari)

A COMPLAINT OF THE QURAN


As an ornament do they adorn me; Yes, they keep me and sometimes kiss me. In their celebrations they recite me. In disputes they swear by me. On shelves do they securely keep me; Till another celebration or dispute, when they need me Yes, they read me and memorise me. Yet only an ornament am I. My message lies neglected, my treasure untouched The field lies bare, where blossomed once true glory Wrong is the treatment that I receive So much to give have I, but none is there to perceive May Allah Taaala grant us the ability to embrace the Quran with our hearts and souls.

The Quran serves as the foundation of our faith, the Word of Allah, the final and complete revelation, the foundation and framework of Islamic law, the source of Islamic thought and action. The Quran is best described in the words of our Master Nabi r who said: "(It is) the Book of Allah in which there is information of those before you, prophesies of what will happen after you and judgment of what is (presently) among you. It is decisive, not amusing entertainment. Whoever shuns it repressively will be destroyed by Allah. Whoever seeks guidance from other than it will be left to stray by Allah. The Quran is the unbreakable rope of (rescue) from Allah; it is the (Dhikr) remembrance full of wisdom and the straight path. Affection to it will not mislead, nor will tongues become weary by it, nor will the scholars feel satiated by it, nor will it loose its sanctity on account of repeated recitation. Its wonders never cease, it is the very the Book that when the Jinn heard it they were constrained to declare: We have undoubtedly heard an amazing Quran that guides to rightouesness, we accordingly believe in it... Whoever speaks by it is truthful, whoever acts by it will be rewarded, whoever judges by it is just and whoever calls to it will be guided to the straight path (Tirmidhi) Man is the subject of the Quran. It narrates the story of man as an integral whole it describes all the stages of mans journey to his ultimate destination-- birth, life, death, resurrection and the judgment of his deeds. "It is a Book We have sent down to you, full of blessing, so let people of intelligence ponder its Signs and take heed." (38:29) How do we enjoy the
