The class considers as a mixed ability class. There are strong, average and weak students.

Required Materials:English CD,CD player,Flipchart paper,markers,flashcards,worksheets

Teaching Methodology/Techniques Opening/ Entry Behavior/ Warm up Activity: 1. Pre-task Teacher draws map of America on Flipchart paper while American music is playing. The Islands and major cities/areas are labeled and numbered.

Step-by-step Procedures/Body Presentation: a.Teacher holds up flashcard with number 1 on it. Teacher says one five times b. teacher says one and all the students repeat .This is repeated 5 times c. Teacher says one and individual student repeat e. repeat this procedures for all numbers f. when all numbers are taught, review all the numbers with students pronouncing all of them. g.Teacher holds up a word flashcards with the word one written on it.Teacher says one for three times.Students repeat one several times while reading flash cards. h. Repeat this procedure for all numbers. I. Teacher hands word flashcards to several students and they stick it under the matching number flashcards.( eg. If a student has the two flashcard, they stick it under the 2 flash card.) As a class, check that all the word flashcards were placed with the corresponding number flashcards. Evaluation Strategies: Matching type Task 1. A.Each student is given a matching worksheet B. Students complete the matching worksheet. C.Answers for matching worksheet are provided by

Task 2 A. All students are given envelope that contains small squares of paper. Each has a number on it. For example 6 B. The teacher Calls out a number in English (eg. 6) every student must find the paper that has that number on it and hold it up and say six. This repeated for all the numbers.

Closure 1. A. Each student is given a piece of paper with 3 numbers on it.They must find their partner(s) who have the same 3 numbers in the same order on their paper. B. Students stand up and walk around. They say their 3 numbers to other students. Those students then sya their 3 numbers. C.If their numbers are not the same, they are partners and they then go together to find other partners (also having the same 3 numbers) D. If their numbers are not the same, they move on to other students and say their 3 numbers, in hopes of finding their matching partner(s)

2. Telephone numbers Game A. Students are given interview worksheets. B. Students then interview 5 classmates for their telephone numbers and fill in the chart with this

information

Homework 1. Draw a pyramid without copying from any reference book. 2. Draw a pyramid that you have seen on the book. Reflection After the lesson make notes/suggestion/changes to improve the lesson plan.
