SOFTWARE SERVICE AGREEMENT A. B. Technical Support: Beginning with Substantial Completion, provide software support for two years. Upgrade Service: Update software to latest version at Project completion. Install and program software upgrades that become available within two years from date of Substantial Completion. Upgrading software shall include operating system. Upgrade shall include new or revised licenses for use of software. 1. System Overview From the AMR software system data are provided in a number of formats to be exported to the Customer Information System or a bill can be generated from the Thexx AMR System.

CALCULATOR A. The MULTICAL calculator is used for heat metering, cooling metering or for combined heat/cooling metering. MULTICAL connects to most flow sensors with a pulse output or is supplied with flow meter ULTRAFLOW . When flow sensors are connected in both flow and return pipes MULTICAL can also monitor possible leakages and bursts in the system.

MULTICAL receives volume pulses from the connected flow sensors and calculates energy for each predetermined water volume. Energy calculation comprises temperature measurement in flow and return flow pipes and correction for specific gravity and heat content based on the requirements in EN 1434. MULTICAL is available with battery back-up for real time clock and it requires as voltage supply either 230 VAC, 24 VAC or 3.6 V lithium battery with a lifetime of up to 12 years. Data reading is made either via optical reading on the front plate or via the plug-in modules placed in the calculator. The MULTICAL can be fitted with 2 individual communication modules, giving ie. FLOW SENSOR A. The flow sensor for cooling metering and heat/cooling metering is an ultrasonic meter of the type ULTRAFLOW 65-1/T which is available from qp 0.6 m/h and up to qp 1000 m/h. The water flow is measured by means of ultrasound by sending a sound signal with the water flow and one against the water flow. The difference in time between the two signals is proportional to the water flow. The temperature range of the flow sensor is from 2-50C. This implies that the flow sensor must be mounted in the return flow pipe in bifunctional heating/cooling systems. Calculators used for for cooling meters and heat/cooling meters must always be wall-mounted or the like to protect against condensation from the cold flow sensor. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. TEMPERATURE SENSORS A. Temperature sensors are delivered as matched pairs and are designed to provide extreme high accuracy and reliability.

As the measuring element is having a small thermal mass the response time is extreme fast. Temperature sensors are available as 2 wire and 4 wire sensors with a number of options for thermowells, direct mounted sensors etc. Pt 500 types are preferred as they provide the highest accuracy. Thexx also provides shut off walves with built in socket for temperature sensors. AUTOMATIC METER READING SYSTEM (AMR) A. In general all the data available in the Calculator can be read by the AMR system and data export is available for billing purposes or for analysis purpose. The AMR system consists of a PC server with database and communicationsapplication. To operate the system a number of clients can be installed on a LAN where each user of the system gets access to exactly his needs. The operator can group meters in any combination. Each group can be read whenever needed each day, week, month or yearly or at any given time in between. The AMR system can run automatic jobs and will inform the operator about errors in reading, i.e. missing meters or missing data.

The site condition has a very strong TCP/IP LAN. The design shall use M-Bus inside each building and then use TCP/IP LAN to connect all ancillary buildings to the Hotel and Convention Center and accounting office Via M-Bus 1. 2. 3. The advantage of M-Bus is that the customer can read locally by connecting a laptop to the M-Bus Master, or that the system can be remote read with The AMR system. M-Bus is a standardised reading system with a module placed in each meter - an M-Bus Slave which is connected to and supplied by an M-Bus Master.

Equipment Identification Labels: Adhesive film labels with clear protective overlay. For residential meters, provide an additional card holder suitable for printed, weather-resistant card or typewritten card with occupant's name.

FIELD QUALITY CONTROL A. Perform tests and inspections. 1. Manufacturer's Field Service: Engage a factory-authorized service representative to inspect components, assemblies, and equipment installations, including connections, and to assist in testing.

Tests and Inspections: 1. 2. 3. 4. Connect a load of known kilowatt rating, 1.5 kW minimum, to a circuit supplied by metered feeder. Turn off circuits supplied by metered feeder and secure them in off condition. Run test load continuously for eight hours minimum, or longer, to obtain a measurable meter indication. Use test-load placement and setting that ensures continuous, safe operation. Check and record meter reading at end of test period and compare with actual electricity used, based on test-load rating, duration of test, and sample measurements of supply voltage at test-load connection. Record test results.
