INS Viraat Description:BAY OF BENGAL (Sept. 5, 2007) - INS Viraat steams in formation in the Bay of Bengal during exercise Malabar 07-2 Sept. 5. The multinational exercise includes naval forces from India, Australia, Japan, Singapore, and the United States. In 2008, the navy deployed INS Tabar (F44) and INS Mysore (D60) into the Gulf of Aden to combat piracy in Somalia.[51

The Shivalik class frigates or Project 17 class frigates are multirole frigates with stealth features built for the Indian Navy. They are the first warships being built in India with such features.[9] The lead vessel of the class was commissioned on April 29, 2010

INS Sahyadri is a Shivalik class frigate of Indian Navy, constructed at Mazagon Dock Limited. The keel for INS Sahyadri was laid on March 17, 2003. She was launched on May 27, 2005. She was commissioned on July 21, 2012.[3][4]

INS Vikramaditya is the name of an aircraft carrier set to enter service with the Indian Navy in 2013. It has been converted from the former Soviet aircraft carrier Admiral Gorshkov.
