______/______ (25 points) Objective: Solving the Problem

I have created a multi-media portrait box sculpture that elegantly displays an arrangement of
materials and forms to honor a significant person in my life.
 I have included at least one photograph of my person in my box.
 My final material arrangement in my box is based upon the thumbnail sketches that I made
earlier.

______/______ (25 points) Studio Skills: Use of Tools and Techniques

I have demonstrated use of at least two of the following multi-media techniques: layered text,
3D relief, gel medium layering.
 I have included a variety of imagery that directly relates to my person in a clearly visual way.
 I have demonstrated careful cutting and gluing techniques on all parts of my box.
 The form of my actual box is strong and sturdy. I used glue and paper to hold each corner, and
all edges of the box are neat and clean.
 I have carefully applied all paint, ink, and other mediums with a brush, and have used them
with consideration.
 I have covered all parts of my box, both inside and out so that no cardboard remains exposed.
 I have attached additional 3D forms to my box with care, so that they remain strongly attached.

_____/______ (25 points) Design: Using the Principles of Design

I have unified the imagery and materials in my box by choosing a similar color scheme of
analogous colors.
 I have clearly used a principle of design, (repetition, pattern, emphasis, balance, etc.) to arrange
my materials inside my box and avoid it becoming cluttered or busy.
 I have used 3D forms on both the inside and outside of my box, and these forms help improve
its overall design.

 I have stored my box carefully throughout its construction, so there are no unwanted folds, tears,
or creases.
