What is a Skills development program?
Teaching, Training & tutoring have taken great importance in the fast track
global scenario wherein up gradation of each individual has become a ne-
cessity for growth and success. It is not just the learners that have to learn
but also the imparting force that needs to learn. Under this program we pre-
sent innovative processes whereby you can not only learn but transfer that
learning into your sessions very effectively. Understanding to empower your-
self is the beginning to become effective as a trainer & a facilitator. Skills
have played a key role and so the constant enhancement of skills has be-

 About the Guru’s

Mr. Sumit Roy. Founder Director, Univbrands. An innovative experiential trainer,

he believes that the best way to learn is the same way you learn to ride a bicycle.
You learn by doing. He uses his considerable experience in theatre and idea gen-
eration techniques to design and implement innovative workshops that don’t need a
PowerPoint based “lecture”. After spending 14 years with Ogilvy & Mather learning
to grow brands, he spent four years at Lintas discovering ways to make people
more creative. In creativity training, he has practiced over 70 idea generation tech-
niques. In 1991, he founded Univbrands, a learn-by-earning university of brand
building communication that went online in 1996. He has coached clients in the US,
UK, Russia, South Africa, Middle East, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and, of course, India. He has created
and implemented customized communication coaching programmes for a wide variety of clients.
These include BBC World, Castrol, Citibank, Coca-Cola, Eveready, Hindustan Lever, HSBC,
Intel, JWT, Kellogg’s, Leo Burnett, Lowe, Kotak Mahindra, Mahindra & Mahindra, Marico,
McKinsey & Co., Microsoft, MTV, Mudra, Ogilvy & Mather, Pfizer, Philips, Reliance Digital,
Samsonite, Trikaya Grey, United Breweries, UTV, Viacom 18, Wockhardt, ZTV …just to mention
a few. He has also served as visiting faculty at IIMA, MICA, Symbiosis and Northpoint Centre of
Learning, Khandala. An active thespian, Sumit is a founder director of The Red Curtain, Kolkata’s
oldest active English theatre group. He uses a lot of theatre workshop techniques to make his
coaching programmes memorable and experiential.

Mr. Sharad K Shinde-Patil, Founder Director of The First-Smile Foundation He is

a certified trainer from City & Guilds London Institutes and a motivational speaker.
He has given talks and conducted workshops on various topics like Creativity, Inno-
vation, Self Awareness, Managing Change & other topics and is also a “Train the
Trainer” expert. He is a visiting verifier for City & Guilds English Language programs
and the Train the Trainer programs. He is actively involved with the Trainers certifi-
cation programs and has been a founder of “Trainers meet Trainers” forum which
brings trainers together under a single umbrella in Pune, Bangalore & Delhi for a
common goal. The sole creator and developer of The First-Smile Foundation an organization into
training & development. A commerce graduate of Pune University who got professionally trained
with Indian Airlines staff college, Hyderabad and Air India Staff College, Mumbai and was also re-
sponsible for starting the first Travel management program in 1985. He carries a vast experience of
practical processes which he has encountered on his travels abroad and in India. Dedicated to the
concept of success through networking and growth in togetherness. He believes that true happiness
is in the joy of giving and giving without expectations. Self help is the best success mantra. Making
trainings FUN, EASY and REWARDING is a personal mission statement. Thus making his programs
