INTENTION TO FAST:
Nawaito sauma ghadin an adaai Fardhi Shahri Ramadhan Lillahi Taala. (I intend to fast tomorrow
in compliance with the commandment of Allah)
DUA TO BREAK THE FAST:
Allahumma laka samtu wa bika aamanto wa alaa rizkika aftarto fataqabbal minna innaka
antas saamiul aleem. (Oh Allah! I observed fasting for Your sake, I believed in You, I broke my fast
out of Your bounty, please accept of me my Fasting, You are the most Heareth and Knoweth.
NOTE: If the New Moon is sighted during the moon-sighting (Niyata) on July 8, 2013, as enjoined by the Holy Prophet Muhammad
(PBUH), the Fasting Month of Ramadhan will start the following day, July 9, 2013. If not sighted, it will be on July 10,
2013. Another moon-sighting activity will be conducted on the 6th day of August 2013 to determine the end of Ramadhan
Fasting and observance of Eidl Fitr.
