I read with interest of your need of a full time receptionist for your newspaper office. As
the ad does not indicate the location of the office, I am enclosing my resume in anticipation that it
is within commuting distance.

My secretarial background was recently used as a Front Desk Receptionist/Office


Assistant for a law firm. In additional to my friendly, yet professional customer service skills, my
responsibilities included answering multi-line phones, appointment scheduling, faxing,
responding to client’s emails, obtaining client information, setting up and maintaining client files.
Some of these same skills were also utilized during my employment as a Deputy Town Clerk/Tax
Collector and Office Assistant to the Board of Selectmen in the Town of Acton. While working
for the Town of Acton, I owned and managed a convenience store business with my husband and
also served as Recording Secretary to the Acton Planning Board for six years. Needless to say, I
had to be energetic to be able to work at the fast pace that I kept, and worked overtime when
needed to help my employer meet deadlines.
