Imaging
Description: An original picture that demonstrates composition. One filter applied to the image, and a portion desaturated. Date: May 25, 2013 Course/Instructor: Comm 130 Section 1; Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Photoshop; Digital Camera Objectives: Take a picture with good composition. Crop it to be 6x6. Add a filter. Desaturate all or part of the image Process: I took a picture. In Photoshop I cropped it to a 66 imagine and placed in on an 118 background. I desaturated all except for the person. Then, I add some saturation back to the flowers. I add a filter to the background.

Montage
Description: A motivational poster with two images blended together. Date: June 1, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01; Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools: Photoshop Objectives: Use two images. Create contrast in the text using two different fonts. Blend the images together transitioning from one picture to the other. Process: I decided on a concept for my picture, and then I look for pictures I wanted to use. I blended the teddy bear on to the image with the drugs. At first I had the entire text one font, but then I decided to change the hugs to a different font to give it emphasis.

Business Card
Description : A business card to my fictional business the Yummy Tummy Restaurant. Date: June 15,2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01; Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign Objectives: Create a logo to represent a business. Have design that travels through a letterhead and business card. Use Illustrator and Indesign. Process: I created a logo that I thought went with my restaurant. I made the business card and decided that it needed more, so I added the blue boxes and made the soup bowl bigger. I tried to place the text in a spot that would be visually pleasing. The colors match the fun and laid back feel of the restaurant.

Stationery
Description: A letterhead to match the business card for my fictional business the Yummy Tummy Restaurant. Date: June 15, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign Objectives: Create a logo to represent a business. Have design that travels through a letterhead and business card. Use Illustrator and Indesign. Process: Using my logo and design from the business card to based my letterhead off of. I went simple for the stationery. I took the logo from the business card and put my information on the bottom. I wanted it to be clean, simple, and elegant.

Event Advertisement
Description: Event Ad for a fundraiser, done on Word Processor. Date: May 18, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01Eric Lybbert Program(s)/Tools Used: Microsoft Word, Epson Scan, Mac and PC Computers. Objectives: Pick and scan a high-quality picture. Do a fullbleed design. In Microsoft word, use text boxes. Edit and insert pictures in Microsoft word. Process: I scanned a picture from a magazine for the image. I took colors from the picture to create the rectangles to add repetition. I used rounded edges to break from the sharp edges of the actually page. I aligned all of the text on one line. I added emphasis to Bake Sale and gave sale its own box to add emphasis.

Flier
Description: Black and White Flier to promote a leadership conference. Date: May 11, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01Eric Lybbert Program/Tools used: Adobe InDesign Objectives: Use design principles. Use InDesign to create flier layout. Use links and pictures from the project page. Use a project folder for the image, loge and InDeisgn document for correct links. Process: I made some sketches and decided how I wanted to present the information. I drew attention to the title of the conference by making one word bigger for emphasis. I also used black and gray boxes for contrast. I aligned my text to the left for a nice flow from the top right corner to the bottom left. I was given the information and picture to use.

Logos
Description: I designed three different logos for the same company that I thought up, Yummy Tummy Restaurant. Date: June 8, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01; Eric Lybbert Program/tools used: Adobe Illustrator Objectives: Creates different logos to fit with a company. Use basic tools of Illustrator Process: I created what I thought looked good while trying to create three different looking ones. I focused on having different font and composition. I also wanted to have three varying feels. I picked different colors and decoration to go with each logo. I worked to have the logos be distinct enough and the right size to fit where ever I wanted to place it

Brochure
Description: A three-fold duplex Brochure for a film festival. Date: July 13, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01; Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools Used: Indesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Objectives: Create a lined up duplex page.Design a logo to go on the brochure.Use high-quality images. Process: I first came up with the idea for my design. I wanted to stick with the movie theme with the popcorn and curtains. I created an original logo for the company I made up, Viewers of America. I aimed for something simple, but cool to look at. I took the curtain and popcorn box images and turned them into vector images in Illustrator. For the individual picture of popcorn, I separated the popcorn from the background in Photoshop. I put everything together in InDesign.

Webpage
Description: This is a webpage that I designed to showcase my logo. Date: June 29, 2013 Course/ Instructor: Comm 130 Section 01; Eric Lybbert Programs/Tools Used: Adobe Illustrator, Text Wrangler, HTML, and CSS Objectives: Size and optimize an original logo as a .png for a web page. Write content to describe the process of creating your logo and how it appeals to a target audience. Design a web page using HTML to display the logo and content. Acquire a working knowledge of HTML and basic understanding of CSS. Identify hex colors for web design. Compress multiple files in a zipped folder to attach as one file. Process: I first created the logo in Illustrator using mostly the pen tool. I then learned how to create things with HTML and add design with CSS. First, I put together the content of the page. I created headings, paragraphs, unordered lists and such. I later add the CSS elements with fonts, colors, and placements
