As said in John 8:31-32, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free. I believe that the truth will set us free for without truth, we can never get and know the real answer and meaning of things. Each and every one of us believes on something or someone and we believe in it or in them because they are true. Ever since I was a kid, Ive always believed that I am the daughter of my loving parents, Josephine and Jimmy Lee. Ive always believed in them because I have trust in them. By way of reason, I can proudly say that I am the daughter of my parents. One reason is because I somehow look like them and I somehow resemble them. A lot people are telling me that I am a mixture of my dad and my mom. I got my eyes from my dad and my nose and lips from my mom. Another reason is people say that I have acquired a lot of traits and values from my parents. Like for example, my dad has an enormous heart and he loves kids very much; I too have a big heart and loves kids. My dad and I usually convey pity and mercy among the people who have been affected by natural calamities. We try to find ways to express our mercy to them like by giving donation. As for my mom, we are both talkative and emotional. We both love to express ourselves. There are cases wherein my mom and I share our problems to each other and weep over those problems and struggles. We always help each other out to overcome those struggles. See! My parents and I have a lot of similarities. And those similarities made me believe that I am their daughter. By way of Science, I can say that I am the daughter of my parents through the use of the DNA tests. As defined from the Internet, DNA profiling is a technique employed by forensic scientists to assist in the identification of individuals by their respective DNA profiles. It serves as an identifier for a person. My genes came from both of my mom and my dad. Like for example, my physical traits. I got my eyes from my dad and my nose from my mom. I inherited those traits from my parents because I am their child. As I have learned from Biology, gene is defined as the unit of hereditary in living organisms. Filipinos call this namamanang pisikal na karakter. Through these so-called Genes and DNA, I believe that I am the daughter of my parents. By way of faith, Ive always believed that I am the daughter of my parents simply because I can feel it through my heart and my bones. I can say this because I can see it on how they have loved me, treated me, taken care of me and on how they have helped me in growing up. I remember during my elementary years, I was involved in an accident. My hand was fractured and during that time my mom was not in Manila because she went to Bohol for the burial of my late lola. I kept crying because it was so painful. And I was so shocked to see my dad in school because he didnt knew about the accident. I kept on wondering how my dad knew about the accident. He told me that he had no idea about the accident and that all he knows is he can feel something bad has happened to me. This is what Filipinos call Lukso ng Dugo. I believe that God gave each family member an instinct for us to feel and know the condition of each other. This is faith---believing in something and holding unto it. Faith is closely related to TRUST. We cant have faith if we dont have trust. I think God gave me to my parents for a

reason because everything happens for a reason. My parents are Gods instrument for me to know Him and to get closer to Him. As what Mr. Noel G. Asiones, Ph. D. said, Truth is the conformity and intellect of things. We can arrive with the truth by way of reason, science and faith. This means that truth pertains to the agreement with reality. Truth pertains to reality which was declared by God. There are many truths but only one truth. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and Life. Truth is the self-expression of God. Paul said that truth is included in the whole armor of God. Ephesians 6:14 mentioned Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place. If one of the armors is missing, then we will become weak. Therefore, without the belt of truth, we would be weak. As written in John 17:17 Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.. Your truth means Gods word. Ive learned from Mr. Asiones that truth is the conformity of Gods word and the Spirit. The truth is pure and unchangeable. Accepting the truth of God pertains to knowing and understanding with certainty and receiving eternal life.
