Sub: Academic Calendar and Admission Schedule for The Academic Session 2013 2014 Sir/Madam, The undersigned is directed to forward you the Academic Calendar (annexed) for the B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./ B.Mus. (Hons/Gen) Course of Studies for the Academic Session 2013-2014 which is also available in this University Website: www.caluniv.ac.in This year the admission process to the 1st year U.G. Courses of Studies shall start after publication of the results of H.S. (10+2) Examination, 2013, conducted by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The merit list of all applicants for admission to the Honours Degree Courses of Studies shall be published by the College(s) within 25th June, 2013. The students shall be admitted on and from the 28th June, 2013, as per the following schedule subject to fulfilment of conditions as laid down in this University Notification No. CSR/54/09 dated 24.11.2009 followed by Notification No. CSR/98/2010 dated 26.8.2010 for B. Com. (Honours/ General) Courses of Studies. Please note the Notification No. CSR/36/12 dated 14.09.2012 for admission to B.Sc. Computer Science (Honours & General) Courses of Studies. Last date of Admission Last date of change of subject(s)/stream Last date of submission of Registration Form : 8th August, 2013 : 30th August, 2013 : 17th September, 2013 (Without Late Fine) & 30th September, 2013 (With Late Fine)

Candidates who passed 10+2 Examination or its equivalent Examination in 2010 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the above-mentioned Courses of Studies provided he/she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100. For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks, obtained at the prequalifying Examination, shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four Subjects in order of marks, secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks (if the subject Environmental Science is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks). 1st year Degree Classes shall commence within 3rd week of July, 2013.
