Gullivers Quality Books & Toys has been the hub of North Bays writing and reading community since 1986 and the time has come for the owners Suzanne and Bernard Brooks to retire. A group of citizens has organized to form a co-operative to purchase the store and prevent the closure of this cultural gem. Not only is it a launching pad for some 100+ local writers, but it is a multicultural hub where First Nations, French and English literature is available. In order to purchase the operational business and run it in financial stability, $ 150 000 needs to be raised. For this, future member commitments are needed to move forward with the project.
