Outline this section for your Social History Chapter of your Notebook Put it on a separate sheet of paper. Head it Women in the Scientific Revolution (put the page numbers / chapter # under that) It should be short with just the main points. The only name on the next test is Margaret Cavendish. However, make a short list of female scientists / their work / fields of study

Section 5 (pp 470-473): The New Science and Religious Faith


This is one of my favorite sections in the entire book. Check out the 3 Issues involved. The Case of Galileo 1. What was Galileos punishment? Blaise Pascal 2. How did Pascal attempt to make Faith in God and Science fit together ?

3. What is Pascals Wager? The English Approach Great Section. Notice the new view of God & Human progress.

Section 6 (pp 473- 478): Continuing Superstition


Witch Hunts and Panics & Village Origins Who were the witches? 1. What demographic group was most persecuted as witches? End of the Witch Hunts 2. What caused the end of the hysteria?

I know. Its insane. Compare and contrast is an idiomatic expression; however, the College Board has lost its mind on this issue.

Hint: 2 basic setups; both work as long as you answer ALL parts of the question. 1) G,D, & N paragraphs, making sure your cover both issues in each paragraph 2) a traditional interpretations & sources of knowledge setup (2 body paragraphs) in which you would cover G,D, & N in each paragraph.
